Reflecting on 2024
Wow. I can’t believe we are now at the end of 2024. This year seems to have flown by – it’s ridiculous. 2024 was the year I turned 30! Attended my first Glastonbury Festival, visited Disneyland Paris, went on an amazing US road trip and saw THE Queen Taylor Swift at the Eras Tour – Four times! With these amazing highs, I’ve had a lot of lows. The last couple of months have been a struggle for me and have sort of tainted the year. However, I’m manifesting positive vibes for 2025 and I already have some amazing things planned.
Now it’s time to reflect on 2024. I do always love doing these blogposts as they are lovely to look back on for me personally.
2024: A Year In Review

January
January was a quiet start to the year. We enjoyed a fair few Sunday Roasts, a trip to Whitby and I went to Manchester on a work trip. January 2024 marked one year of having our little Walter in our lives which has been the best year of puppy shenanigans. It was a slow start to the year but I did buy a treadmill to set some 2024 fitness goals which i won’t lie, have gone out the window. 2025 is a new start though!

February
February saw me visit London for four nights. I visited the Chanel exhibition at the V&A before double brunching with my friend Haydy. After eating our way round Camden Market and a few other places, we also watched the Superbowl at Hard Rock Cafe and I ofc, supported Taylor Swift’s boyfriend. February saw us enjoy a few more incredible Sunday Roasts before seeing Jordan Davis in concert.

March
In March, we had a little break in the North East and enjoyed a few drinks in Newcastle and yes, another delicious roast in Durham. We went on a few local trips with Walter and explored the coast with some slow weekends as Stefan started a new job. The highlight of the month was most certainly a Taylor Swift bottomless brunch at Mans Market in Leeds!

April
April was another month where we stayed relatively local – I’d say it was the calm before the crazy busy Summer! We took my Mum to the Pipe & Glass for a Sunday Roast (which i still need to publish a post about) – it’s always an incredible experience! Also, we celebrated a few 30th birthdays and spent time been tourists in our local area.

May
May was the start of our crazy and chaotic Summer. After a few days in London, Stefan and I headed over to Paris. I was mega lucky and had tickets to the first two nights of the European leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. We got to see the debut of The Tortured Poets Department set in the Eras Tour and it was just an amazing coupe of days in Paris. Alongside seeing Taylor Swift, we explored Paris as it was our first time in the city together and we also spent two days in Disneyland Paris and stayed at Newport Bay which was incredible.
Also in May, I went to Liverpool for a few nights to celebrate for one of my friends Hen do. This included Puppy Yoga which was the cutest thing ever. Towards the end of May, we went to see Bruce Springsteen at the Stadium of Light which was great and then we also went to The Great British Food Festival at Harewood House.

June
We spent most of June preparing for one thing; Glastonbury! But before Glasto, I went to see Taylor Swift (again) at her first Wembley show and channelled The Tortured Poets Department. I had the most fun attending with my friends and we even saw Travis Kelce and her parents. I loved how much London really turned out for the Eras tour.
It was then time for our first ever Glastonbury Festival. We had the most amazing time and can see why it is so hyped up! Highlights were most certainly Dua Lipa and Shania Twain but there was so much to explore around Worthy Farm. I’d most certainly recommend everyone to experience the magic of Glastonbury. Sadly we didn’t get tickets for 2025, but we have something equally as exciting lined up!

July
In July we celebrated a close friend getting married in the most beautiful location. I also worked the Great Yorkshire Show and attended a charity ball. Whilst it was a slightly quieter month, it still felt quite hectic! The month involved lot’s of summer night walks along the beach with Walter and revamping our garden. My Mum was also super lucky to win a pet photoshoot with celebrity photographer Derick Santini, so we got some incredible photos of Walter from this day!

August
Eeek! August is the month i turned Thirty! As my Birthday is at the end of the month, it just felt the whole month was leading up to the big day! We celebrated Stefan’s birthday first and enjoyed some wholesome days out picking flowers, visiting Middleton Lodge and of course, more Sunday Roasts. I visited Manchester to see Noah Kahan which was INCREDIBLE.
The week before my Birthday, me and Mum went to London to see Taylor Swift once again. We had Front Left tickets this time and was so close to the stage, it was just an incredible night and I’ll always remember how amazing our Eras Tour Summer was. Whilst in London, we also visited friends, bottomless brunched, had cocktails at Sketch and visited the Taylor Swift exhibition at the V&A. It really was one of my best trips to London ever.
Finally, it was time to celebrate me turning Thirty! I had a lovely meal at one of my favourite local restaurants the night before and then on my actual Birthday, we hosted around 40 people in the garden for a BBQ! I was so blessed to have all my loved ones around me and we had the best time. Thirty didn’t feel that bad at all!

September
With only a day to recover from the party, we headed down to London Heathrow to fly to Vegas baby! The thirty birthday celebrations were sure to continue. I visited the US for two weeks with my parents and Stefan and after staying at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, we embarked on a road trip around Arizona and Utah. We visited Horseshoe Bend, Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon before spending time in Sedona, Scottsdale and Flagstaff. We then flew from Phoenix to Nashville to live out my cowboy dreams! Nashville is one of my favourite places in the world. I just love that you can see live music at any time and the food is also amazing. The last stop of our trip was Memphis where we visited Graceland and stayed at The Peabody Hotel.

October
October kicked off with Haydy’s hen do in Essex where we had the best time celebrating in a huge party house. It was Haydy’s Hoedown so it gave me a chance to get my new Cowboy boots out. In October, we also went to Manchester to see my friend do the Half Marathon. We also went for a Sunday Roast at The Refuge which was a stand out roast for me in 2024. October also was the month we saw the Northern Lights from our garden, saw The Vaccines, celebrated my Grandma’s 90th Birthday and I became a Godmother!

November
In the penultimate month of 2024, we welcomed a new Nephew into the world and celebrated the wedding of Haydy & Mike down in Essex. On our little road trip down to Essex, we visited Cambridge on the way home which was lovely. We also then celebrated Walter’s 2nd Birthday with a puppy themed Birthday party – It’s not my first rodeo, it’s my second!
I also attended an amazing Jet2.com & Jet2Holidays Apres-Ski themed event in Leeds to promote their Ski/Winter routes. We had an alpine wine tasting with raclette & we then tried our hand at wreath making! Raclette Cheese was the most amazing thing I’ve tried. I also spent another day in Leeds Christmas shopping and getting into the festive spirit with my Mum.

December
Finally December of 2024 was filled with lot’s of lovely festive plans including visiting Castle Howard, York Christmas Markets, countless Sunday Roasts and prepping to once again, host Christmas. Over Christmas, we managed to catch up with a lot of friends whilst also taking some time to just chill and relax. Also! I saw Wicked!
