Decorating for Christmas 2024

I know, I know, we’re only in mid November but the Christmas decorations are officially up! I’m always pretty early with getting the decs up as Christmas is my favourite time of the year and I love decorating! I also think if you making such an effort, you may as well get the most of the Christmas decorations. I thought I would share with you some of my decorations around the house as I’m pretty proud of this! Starting off with the newest addition to my Christmas decorations collection which is this adorable pre-lit Douglas Fir 3ft tree from WeRChristmas which can be used indoors and outdoors. I’ve got to say this is really lovely quality and looks very realistic. I’ve currently got this in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs but I’ve considered popping it outside. It can also be used outdoors which does open up placing it by the front door. The tree is pre-lit and and the lights are pretty bright, when lit it’s nearly as bright in the hallway as the big light being on! I went with some neutral baubles but still need to find a star to go on the top!

In the hallway, I’ve also decorated the stairs with a green tinsel garland with twinkly lights wrapped around. To be honest, I think I need to add something else to the stairs to give it more of a wow factor. Possibly going to add some bows!

Moving on to our living room which is where you’ll find what i consider my main Christmas tree. It’s a good 4/5 years old now and a 6ft one. There isn’t a theme for the tree and I’ll always keep it that way. The baubles are usually all mix matched, gathered from places we’ve visited or all have some sort of meaning. There is also a fair few Disney themed baubles.. i mean it is me. We’ve also put up the garland across our mantlepiece and added bows to it which is what I want to replicate in the hallway!

Then our third and final Christmas tree is in the conservatory. The conservatory becomes a bit of a hub for gatherings around Christmas time so we have to go all out with the decorations. We have a snow frosted tree which follows a candy cane and gingerbread man theme. I’m slightly obsessed with it. Last year, I was bought a light up sausage dog which sits below the tree. The conservatory is decked out with lights around the windows and I’ll share more on our table decor closer to Christmas!
