Keeping Fit and Healthy on Holiday is actually surprisingly do-able. With all the indulgences of an all-inclusive buffet, it still is possible to keep in shape whether you’re holidaying in Spain or on a Cruise around the Carribean. I’ve partnered up with Marella Cruises who have been working with Frankie and Wayne Bridge.
Marella Cruises are part of the TUI Group and offer a range of cruises around the world including the Carribean, Far East and Europe. They are also the third largest cruise line in the UK with a fleet of five ships and their new vessel; Marella Explorer will begin sailing this Summer. The collaboration with fitness and wellbeing enthusiasts Frankie and Wayne Bridge showcases the ease of keeping in shape on holiday. They created a fun-filled Marella By U itinerary onboard the Marella Discovery whilst exploring the Norweigan Fjords to maintain their health and wellbeing regime.
With the help from Frankie and Wayne Bridge, along with leading psychology expert Hope Bastine here are a five top tips on how to keep in shape whilst on holiday:
Tip #1 : Take to the Water: Kayaking
One of the first things shown in the film created by Frankie and Wayne is them taking part in one of the cruise’s excursions of Kayaking in the port of Geirangerfjord. Not only is this a super fun activity with such a stunning backdrop, it’s working your upper body muscles. You could also consider one of my favourite activities; Paddleboarding or even surfing.
Tip #2 : Take to the Deck and Exercise
Frankie and Wayne showed off some of their workout moves on the deck of the Marella Discovery. Psychology expert Hope Bastine highly promotes working together as a couple citing; “Exercising with your partner is a proven way to get more out of your workout because of the emotional support and motivation from a little healthy competitiveness.”
Tip #3 : Try New Experiences: Climbing
On board, the Marella Cruises offers plenty of new experience to try out including a climbing wall. Whilst you are sailing through extraordinary scenery of the Norweigan Fjords, you can climb to the top of the wall and take in the stunning views.
Tip #4 : Tank up on feel-good, fresh food
When on holiday, there are so many different options for food. On a Marella Cruise, they take pride in their selection of fresh food from an array of different restaurants on board. Frankie and Wayne took food into consideration when creating their health and well-being focused itinerary and opted for fresh fish, steak and vegetables at Surf and Turf Steakhouse. Judging by the video, it looked insanely delicious whilst doing wonders for your wellbeing.
Tip #5 : Spending Time Together With Your Other Half
Frankie and Wayne’s lifestyle is all about balance and so the Bridge’s also took an afternoon to wind down and spend quality time together.
Cruises are a great option for keeping active whilst on a new adventure as the possibilities are endless. You can try out so many new activities and it doesn’t even feel like exercise. There is something for everyone!
Do you work out on holiday? Have you been on a cruise before?
