Ten Years of Blogging

Today marks ten years since I started my blog. What a journey it has been! If you had said to me back in 2010 that I would still be doing it ten years later and that it would be my job, well, I just wouldn’t have believed you. Looking back at the last ten years, It’s crazy how a little hobby has turned into something so much greater. I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t created this on a Wednesday evening after school. I’m so grateful for all the opportunities, friends and happiness this little space on the internet has brought me. As always on these anniversary’s, I like to share a snapshot of the last however many years and reminisce on how far I’ve come.

So much has changed since I created my blog in 2010, I was actually still in Secondary School doing my GCSE’s. I really got into posting my daily outfits whilst at College studying Fashion and then when I moved to Birmingham a lot more opportunities came up and also I could connect with a lot of local bloggers. Since graduating from university, I’ve been working on my blog mostly full-time. I’ve been travelling a lot more and my adventures have now become a primary topic on here. Whilst there is a lot of talk about having a blog niche, I do like to cover my travels, what I’m wearing, beauty products I’m currently loving where I’m eating out. Mainly because these things I enjoy and I guess my niche is all the things that I enjoy.

Coming in 2020 and beyond, there will be a lot more of the aforementioned content. Obviously, we have a big America trip coming up next month so I’ll be blogging about all of that and a few other travels this year. I’ll continue to develop and grow my blog, in the same way, I have in the last ten years. Who knows, I might still be blogging in ten years time!

I should also mention, if you are a regular reader, you might have noticed a HUGE change around here. I have had my blog re-designed for my 10th Blogging Birthday. I’m really happy with how it’s turned out. There still needs to be a little more tweaking until it’s perfect but I’m very happy with the results. Also, to celebrate my blogging birthday, there will be a few other exciting things to look out for over the next couple of days here on my blog and across my social media platforms. So keep your eyes peeled.
