It’s the next festive gift guide and this one is all for the children in your life. I feel like I always say this every year but although I don’t have children of my own, I do have eight nieces and nephews. So the majority of my Christmas shopping is for little ones. I’ve tried to include something for all ages and of course, a little bit of Disney!
First up, we have a little bit of Lego. You can’t deny that Lego give hours of entertainment whether you’re young or old. My nephew is absolutely love playing with Lego and they are also a huge fan of everything to do with dinosaurs. The Jurassic world collection with Lego is an excellent gift this Christmas and I’m hoping will go down a treat. The Jurassic World Blue and Beta Velociraptor Capture includes two dinosaurs, two mini figures, a truck and a bike! This set is pretty reasonably priced (around £25) and I think it’s great value for all the bits and pieces you get!
The next item of my gift guide is from the Kid Collective who are a brand which encourages play to inspire growth in children. The Moon Picnic My Weather Station is a great piece to get little ones thinking and learn about the weather. It’s an excellent fun, engaging and educational piece and I’m sure little ones will love turning the dials each morning to report on the current weather!
Of course I had to include a little bit of Disney into the gift guides. We all know how much I love Disney and I also love influencing my nieces and nephews into watching all the movies. Thankfully, they are very much influenced. From classic Toy Story toys to Disney Princess dolls – the possibilities are endless. For any Cars fans, the Track Talkers Chat & Haul Mack is a great gift and you can additionally purchase characters like Mater or Lightning McQueen to fit inside. Each car makes it’s own unique noises so you can reenact your favourite scenes from the movie!
If you’re little one fancies themselves as a spy, the SpyX Micro Spy Gear Set is an excellent gift. It’s actually a mini utility which includes gadgets to help little secret agents go on missions. The set includes a Micro spy light, an Invisible ink pen, a Micro Motion Alarm and a Micro listener (features ear piece). Whilst little ones can have hours of fun pretending to be the next James Bond, this set can encourage kids to explore their surroundings and increases spatial awareness.
Books are always a good idea for gifts. For the Gift Guides, we have two booked based on two women. The first one is I am Coco which is all about the Life of Coco Chanel. This book includes beautiful illustrations and gives a great insight into Coco Chanel and how she became one of the most famous names in fashion. I’d say this would be good for children with an interest of fashion. This would have been perfect for me when I was around 10 years ago as I’d already got that interest in the industry, loved sewing and wanted to be a designer. These books a great for inspiring the younger generation.
The second book in my Gift Guide is from the Little People, Big Dreams collection and is dedicated to one of the most famous women in the world who we sadly lost this year; Queen Elizabeth. I thought it would be quite fitting to gift this book this Christmas as a tribute following her death and also the platinum jubilee. I love the way these books are written, it even starts with Once upon a time… The book is a great commemorative item and a lovely way to teach young children about the Queen who haven’t lived long through her reign. The book can be purchased here.
If you can’t spoil children with sweets at Christmas then when can you? I absolutely love that Haribo have brought out their version of a selection box Typically you’d receive a chocolate selection box but this has 8 little packets of your favourite Haribo sweets including giant straws (gone mini), Starmix, Tangfastics and the Supermix. Haribo also have a huge Sharing Medley box which is perfect for the ultimate Haribo lover who most likely won’t share or to have out on Christmas Day.
You’ve got to have copious amounts of chocolate at Christmas too. NOMO have you covered if your little one has allergies or intolerances, their chocolates are Vegan and free from dairy, gluten, eggs and nuts! So you can still enjoy the delicious chocolates. Their gooey caramel chocolates are a huge hit with me but my favourite is reindeers with a cookie dough centre!
Children love colouring. Fact. Which is why I have include Stabilo who have some excellent pen sets out this Christmas which are excellent for gifting. The Stabilo Cappi set is great as the ergonomic grip is designed for children’s hands and is perfect for helping find the recommended tripod grip while colouring. When gifting these fibre-tip pens you can expect some marvellous colourful masterpieces coming your way in return!
Finally, if you’ve got any budding mini me gardeners in the family. This one is perfect for them! The Seed Pantry have a seed kits for kids to allow them to grow a variety of things. This kit includes seeds to grow Cress, Sweetcorn, Pumpkins and Sunflowers! I think this is a brilliant idea to show children how things grow and it will be ever so satisfying to see their produce growing! The set also contains biodegradable pots, plant markers and a guide to growing!
