Festive Gift Guide 2022: For Him

It’s finally that time of the year! I can’t quite believe we are nearly in December. If you haven’t started with the Christmas shopping, hopefully this blogpost will help and give you some inspiration. This year, we are kicking off presents for the men in your life. Whether it is your Dad, Brother, Boyfriend or Uncle, I think Men are the hardest to purchase for! Let’s hope you get some ideas from this post.

Let’s start off the Gift Guides with a delicious Caribbean Spiced Rum by Hawksbill. To make it even better this is a Mango flavoured spiced Rum. When purchasing a bottle, you are also doing your bit to help save the turtles. One thing you can never go wrong with is a good aftershave. I take pride in picking out a new scent each year for Stefan. A fragrance gift set is an excellent idea for a Christmas present. This year, I picked up the classic Gucci Guilty gift set from Notino. In this gift set, there is a 50ml bottle of Gucci Guilty Pour Homme and also a shower gel. Gucci always have the best boxes, they look festive yet still pretty luxury with the traditional green branding. I always think it’s better to get a gift set as it’s already packed up and presented well. You don’t have to gift wrap it most of the time.

I don’t know about you but my favourite kind of gift is actually an experience. A city break weekend away, a fine dining experience or concert tickets These are the types of gifts which will guarantee great memories ahead. Apex Hotels currently have a range of great vouchers on their website ranging from weekend breaks, three course meals and even spa treatments. The voucher that stood out for me was the Luxury Weekend City Break in London. From £279, two nights in an Apex London Hotel with a full english, champagne and a box of chocolates are all included. This is an excellent price and great value for two nights in the big smoke. It would also make a fabulous base for exploring London.

If you asked Stefan what his ideal gift for Christmas would be, I can almost guarantee it would be Football Manager. This game allows you to see how you get on managing a variety of football clubs. For a football lover, this is a great gift idea for someone who thinks they are the next Pepe Guardiola. Whilst I do become a gaming widow, it certainly does keep Stefan occupied. The 2023 version of Football Manager is now available to play on a PC/MAC.

Another classic gift you can’t go wrong with is a timepiece. Whilst it’s a popular option (yet very expensive) to go for a Smart Watch, a man will always need a watch which can be worn to more formal occasions. The August Moment Watch from Trend Him is one i’ve picked out for being a minimalistic, lightweight watch. It’s great for everyday use, wearing to work but it’s nothing too flash or over the top. There is a great selection of mens watches on Trend Him to suit whatever style you are going for and they are all reasonably priced.

Now that we are homeowners, the prospect of DIY is now at the forefront of our minds. Whilst I do love garnering inspiration and gathering ideas, it’s usually left to the men in my life to execute my plans. Aside from an excellent tool kit, you really do need a great working electric drill. The Gtech Combi Drill is one of the best ones I’ve come across and it’s cordless. The drill has several modes and speeds meaning you can get your DIY jobs done in a flash. The Combi Drill bundle includes a battery pack and charger, meaning you aren’t having to deal with any pesky wires. If you’ve got any men in your life who love doing the DIY, this is an excellent gift and it’s also a great way to hint at getting some DIY jobs done.

Another great stocking filler for the DIY lovers is a product I’ve come across is the Fixits. It’s an essential for the DIY kit and can fix anything that won’t really be held together by tape or glue. The Fixits is a mouldable bioplastic that can fix anything from toys to laundry baskets. I can actually vouch for this as it’s fixed our broken laundry basket like a dream. So this certainly would make an excellent stocking filler for anyone who’s into DIY.

After watching a certain infamous heart wrenching television advert, it seems that a skateboard is the gift of choice this Christmas. Whether you’ve got a teenage brother, looking for a new hobby or a child at heart, now may be a great time to buy a skateboard. Skates.co.uk have a huge range of skateboards, scooters and even roller skates. You can follow in the footsteps of Tony Hawk and pick up a board from his collection which has some great designs. This one is the wingspan design and even better, it comes with free stickers. If it’s good enough for Tony Hawk…
