We’ve Bought a House!
As you can tell from the title (& also if you follow me on social media), We’ve bought a house! It’s been a long time coming and we finally completed at the start of the month. A couple of days ago, I celebrated my 12th Blog Birthday. Although I’ve not been blogging as much as I would have liked to recently, I thought this huge life event needed it’s own post. My blog is almost like a diary and I love looking back at posts and seeing what I have achieved and buying a house is pretty huge.
We originally viewed the house back in September and thought it was perfect but sadly we didn’t get it. However about 5/6 weeks later we were told it had fallen through. We were asked if we wanted to re-submit our offer which was then accepted. I truly believe that it was meant to be and it all happened for a reason. We really loved the house. I was pretty disappointed when we originally didn’t get it so I knew immediately when we had a second chance that it was for us. The whole process was pretty lengthy but you hear that it’s like that with everyone but we’re finally in and settled.
I’m hoping to create a little bit more of home and interiors content on here and social media. To be honest, we’re still finding out feet with buying furniture and pretty things. Of course, we’ve already had a HUGE trip to Ikea where I bought half the shop. We still have a lot to buy but there’s no rush. Our spare bedroom is going to have a sofa bed for guests. It’s also going to be my blogging room so hopefully it’ll be a great place to create lot’s of content. I’m just waiting for it to be re-carpeted as the original stripy carpet was not a vibe for me. Then we will be ready to go!
I can’t wait to show you more of the house and what we do with it. I’ll be posting snippets on Instagram and I’m sure there will be a few more shopping trips to places like Ikea, Dunelm and B&M!
