Yorkshire Food Festivals to visit in 2023
We all know I love my food around here. I keep coming across some great food festivals happening in the region and thought I’d put together a handy blogpost with a few of the ones that have caught my eye. These food festivals are a great opportunity to try some new food, learn some new tricks in the demonstration tent, see celeb chefs and even enjoy some live entertainment. I’m hoping to go on a couple of days out this Summer and get some of the mentioned food festivals and basically stuff my face with some delicious dishes.

- Wentworth Woodhouse, South Yorkshire – 19th & 20th August
The Great British Food Festival is taking place throughout the Summer in various locations across the UK. I’ve just listed the ones taking place in Yorkshire but there is events in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Sussex, Wales and many more. We went to the Harewood House event two years ago and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was a great foodie day out. There was some amazing cookery demonstrations and so many great street food stalls. I remember the weather was incredible which is always a plus. However, the great thing about The Great British Food Festival is that they have a rainy day guarantee. If it rains for more than an hour you can come back the next day for free!
The Harewood House event is taking place over the late May Bank Holiday so it’s a great way to make use of your extra day off if you have it. There is also some great discounts on tickets at the moment with their early bird offer.

With two locations this year for the Harrogate Food & Drink Festival, it’s shaping up to be an event not to miss. The first event will be taking place on The Stray in the heart of the town in June. Then also on the August Bank Holiday the festival returns to nearby Ripley Castle. Both events offering live chef demos, tastings and of course plenty of street food in such beautiful surroundings. There will also be over 26 performers offering event goers live entertainment. Early bird tickets start at £4.95 for an adults ticket and £2.95 for a children’s ticket.

north leeds food festival
ROUNDHAY PARK, LEEDS | 13TH & 14TH MAY | northleedsfoodfestival.co.uk
The North Leeds Food Festival is a sister festival to the Harrogate Food Festival. This Food Festival is only a couple of weeks away and is taking place in Roundhay Park. I’m really hoping we can squeeze going to this festival as I love Roundhay and think it’s a great venue for such a food festival. Live music, entertainment and demonstrations will take place over the two days and an artisan market selling local produce. Obviously some great street food vans will be in attendance from hog roasts to Lebanese cuisine and even a pizza bus.
Early bird tickets have passed sadly on this one but adult tickets are still available for £8.95.
Hopefully this has given you some inspiration for some foodie days out in Yorkshire. Will you be attending any of these food festivals? I’ll be going to a few and of course will be posting all about our days out on Instagram and TikTok.
XOXO
