Staycation Essentials for a trip to Edinburgh with Very.co.uk

Last weekend, Stefan and I drove up to the Scottish capital, Edinburgh. One of my favourite places, if not my favourite place in the UK. We had a fun-filled weekend planned, including a Luke Combs concert at Murrayfield, delicious food and exploring the gorgeous old town streets. Whilst we were only visiting for a weekend, I needed to make sure I had all my essentials packed and, of course, an outfit for the big concert. 

I’ve collaborated with Very.co.uk on this blog post, which features some great pieces from their Holiday Essentials Shop and an excellent selection of travel luggage. I picked up this Rock Luggage Cabin Bag, which is the perfect size for a weekend getaway or staycation. I managed to fit all my essentials in, and trust me, I don’t travel light. I’m a big fan of the Rock Luggage suitcases. I’d previously bought one for our USA travels in a gorgeous lilac colour.

I decided to go for this gorgeous Co ord Set from River Island at Very.co.uk. I’m mega into denim at the moment, and I thought this would be an excellent look for exploring the city during the day and then heading to see Luke Combs in the evening, followed by a few drinks. The cutwork detail on both the waistcoat and shorts made it very western country, so totally perfect for a Luke Combs concert!

I also need to mention my sandals, which are also from River Island at Very.co.uk. They have a slight wedged heel so they gave me a little height. However, they were so comfortable to explore Edinburgh in! I think they will most certainly be my shoe choice for the rest of the Summer!

We had the best weekend in Edinburgh; I couldn’t recommend this city enough. We ate some amazing food, explored a few local pubs and did a lot of exploring the gorgeous cobbled streets. We’re already looking at booking yet another trip up there, maybe when it’s closer to Christmas!
