Beauty: October Favourites

November 1, 2014
This month I went a little crazy with my spending. I’ve got a ton of new beauty products but I’ve only used a couple so far, so here’s my pick of the bunch!

Chanel Les Beiges Number 10 / Make-Up Revolution Lipstick in The One / Seventeen Brow’s That! Palette / Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Liner.

I got the Seventeen Brow’s That! Palette on a 3 for 2 offer. I think it was originally £4.99 so such a good price. It’s a great little un-expensive kit which does the job. It contains a wax, powder, pencil for shading in the brow and a highlighter for highlighting the brow bone. It’s the perfect shade for my brows but the let down is that the kit only comes in this shade.

A couple of weeks ago, I attended a Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Masterclass which I will be blogging about soon. They kindly gave me some amazing goodies, One being the Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner* which is one of Bobbi Brown’s most loved products. I did have this a couple of years ago and I’m so glad to have this back in my life. It’s so easy to apply and it really is long lasting. It won’t budge unlike some other’s i have tried where it gets all smudges across my face.

This was a naughty purchase as it was on the expensive side at £39. The Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Powder (Mines in Number 10) does work really well with my skin. It probably wasn’t worth all that money but I like it, It gives a nice finish to my skin.

The Make-Up Revolution Lipsticks are such a bargain at £1 each, I’ve bought quite a few. One of my favourites is the ‘The One’ – It’s a perfect nude colour which I’ve basically been wearing everyday. The Lipstick itself is very moisturizing and the colour lasts quite well. It’s a great bargain and they do some other fab colours.

In my non-beauty favourites is Lena Dunham’s book Not That Kind Of Girl. I haven’t read it all, just bits and pieces and it’s already one of the best books I’ve read. It’s hilarious and has me giggling every two seconds. If you like Lena’s show Girls, You will love this!

This is such a random favorite but I have being loving my new Breville Blend Active (£28). It’s great for making smoothies quickly and so easy to wash-up. It’s so convenient and as I’ve being having lot’s of fruit smoothies, I feel healthier.

Let me know in the comments below what your October favourites are.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

  1. Great favourites! I can't wait to get Lena Dunham's book. I've also been thinking about getting that blender but was worried it might not be as good as others considering it's so much cheaper – but I'm going to have to buy it now!

  4. Ooo what are those brevilles like? I was thinking of getting a nutribullet but I noticed these and wondered if the nutribullet was really work £70 more! Re the smoothies you should start adding some spinach or kale. Green smoothies really give you a good boost! x

I'd totally recommend getting a Breville, It's so easy to use and was only £28 for family pack or you can get a regular set with 2 cups instead of 4 for £17 in Tesco. So cheap and so worth it. We've just bought a smoothie book so we're going to experiment with lot's of ingredients! xo
