London College Trip 2012

Got back from London last night! I had such a good time, It was a college trip but it was so nice to get away with all the girls. Most of the trip was really independent, we visited lots of museums and exhibitions and did a little shopping. We stayed in a youth hostel next to the Natural History Museum, it was pretty decent and we had 6 bunk beds in our dorm.

The first day we went to the Science Museum, Harrods and visited the V&A to a post-modernism exhibition (couldn’t take pictures but it was an amazing exhibition). In the evening, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe and then had a gander round the Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square area.

The second day we made our way to the Fashion & Textiles Museum and saw the Catwalk to Cover – A front row seat (I’m going to do another post as i took a lot of photos). We then walked along the south bank and went to the Tate Modern and walked over the Millennium Bridge. I then went to tackle Oxford Street, which wasn’t too busy and got round a few shops. In the evening, we went to the Rainforest Cafe and then went to see Thriller Live, I wasn’t too keen on the show as i’m not a Michael Jackson fan and there was no story to the musical.

The last day we walk along the river to Somerset House and visited the

20 years of Dazed and Confused exhibition which showcased some popular features from over the years and it was really good. I then went and saw the Tiffany’s Ice Skating rink (Slight obsession with Tiffany’s). Me and Ruby walked to Covent Garden and i bought a couple of things from Lush, Rockit and some touristy stores. Then we made our way to Kings Cross to come home!
