We’ve Bought a Puppy! – Introducing Walter

We have big news! We’ve bought a puppy! I thought it was only right to do a blogpost introducing our new addition to the family. Walter is a 10 week old miniature Dachshund puppy and we picked him up two weeks ago now. It’s been in the pipeline to get a puppy for a while but we decided when we got home from NYC that it was the right time. It took quite a while to find him but once we met him, it was quite the whirlwind and we were picking him up 10 days later!

I thought it was only right that he got his own post on my blog as I’ve always shared these big life events and this sure is a big one. Our lives have certainly turned upside down – but in a good way! Walter has settled in really well into his new home. He’s actually a pretty chilled out puppy but does have a very big naughty or shall we say, cheeky side. We’re still getting there with his toilet training but I guess it takes time. We also need to work on leaving him a lot more so separation anxiety doesn’t become a thing. It’s hard though as I work from home and I’m always here!

He’s the most adorable little thing though. Everyone who has visited has said he’s literally so tiny compared to the photos I’ve shared already. He’s grown a little bit in the last two weeks but he’s still only around 2kg. It won’t be long until we can go for walkies and get out and about with him. I think he’s desperate for a big run around!
