Summer Tastes Great with Cooplands

So the UK might not be having the *best* Summer with all the constant rain and grey skies. However when the sunshine finally makes an appearance, it’s time to take advantage and enjoy trips to the beach, picnics and soaking in the rays. I’ve partnered up with Cooplands who have recently launched their new Summer range with perfect bits for a picnic – When the sun finally shines! Cooplands is actually the UK’s second largest bakery with almost 200 stores across Yorkshire, the North East and Lincolnshire. You’ll more than likely see me in Cooplands on my lunch break when it’s an office day enjoying their freshly made, hand-finished products! Their new Summer range is the perfect selection of baked goods for a picnic or to take along for a visit to the beach!

I thought I would share some of my highlights of the Summer range that you NEED to try.

JUMBO Jammy Biscuit

This Summer sees the return of the Jumbo Jammy Biscuit which is a firm favourite of customers. I mean, what’s not to love?! It’s two pieces of shortbread sandwiched together with strawberry jam and buttercream. Absolutely delicious and the best part about it? It’s jumbo in size! These biscuits went down an absolute treat at my picnic!

Chocolate Brownie Pot

As a chocolate lover, I think this is my favourite Summer item. Cooplands have release both a Chocolate Brownie Pot and Strawberry Trifle Pot. Put it this way, no one was going near my Chocolate Brownie Pots. Chunks of Chocolate Brownie was mixed in with Chocolate Custard and Whipped Cream. Delicious!

Sally Strawberry & Ollie Orange

Excellent for kiddies is the new Shortbread Summer Biscuit Selection of Sally Strawberry and Ollie Orange. Both with a chocolate topping, they are both mega cute for kids! Even better, they are 3 for £3!

Chicken Fajita Pasty

It’s not all sweet treats in Cooplands, they have some delicious savoury items. Aside from the regular Sausage Rolls and Cheese Straws which are a MUST for any picnic, day out or family gathering, they have got the Chicken Fajita Pasty on their Summer Menu. The pasty is filled with tender chicken pieces mixed with peppers in a spicy fajita sauce. This has got my Dad’s seal of approval, so you know it’s good. He’s been wanting one everyday! Warning: These have got quite the heat kick!

Chicken Caesar Sandwich

A classic for any picnic is a good sandwich. I always think it’s quite refreshing to have a chicken caesar salad in the summer, so why not pop it in a sandwich?! The sandwich is in their classic scotch rolls – which is another absolute classic Cooplands item. Their sandwiches are always excellent quality and great to grab and go for lunches!
