The Grand Opening of Sakura Spa at Gisborough Hall
Last week, I was delighted to attend the opening event of the brand-new Sakura Spa, located at the iconic Gisborough Hall. The gorgeous and historic Gisborough Hall is located about an hour up the coast from us. On the outskirts of the market town of Guisborough and at the foot of the North York Moors. The hall is an utterly gorgeous country house hotel which is absolutely stunning.
Opening in August 2026 is the Sakura Spa, which will provide the ultimate luxury wellness retreat. Stefan and I were thrilled to be invited to the opening event, where we saw the ribbon-cutting and the spa officially opened.

On arrival, we had a tour of the spa, changing facilities and had a look around the treatment rooms along with a sound bath experience. There are six treatment rooms in total, including a couple’s treatment room. Everything is just so utterly gorgeous, and you can tell it is top-notch quality.

Following a few celebratory drinks whilst enjoying some live music, we watched as Lord Gisborough delivered an opening speech, followed by cutting the ribbon. It was then our chance to explore the outdoor bits of Sakura Spa, which really is a woodland retreat. With the peaceful woodland surroundings, you can enjoy relaxing in their outdoor vitality pool or relaxing on a sun lounger. The wooden lodges are home to a finnish sauna, herbal sauna and salt steam room. All with incredible views out to the surrounding woodland in their relaxation rooms. It looks like absolute heaven.

Not forgetting the cold plunge experience and cold bucket, which I’d love to see Stefan do! All part of the wellness experience to rejuvenate your wellbeing with cold water therapy.
Sakura Spa is also home to the new KOYO Restaurant, which offers some delicious plates to enjoy during your spa day. The current menu offers a range of nibbles, brunch, salads and sandwiches. It all sounds incredible.

The Sakura Spa is such a wonderful addition to Gisborough Hall and the area. Spa packages start from just £60. I can’t wait to plan a spa day soon and be able to relax and slow down amongst the serene setting.
XOXO
