Weleda Skin Food Review

I’m not going to lie, 90% of my purchases are now influenced by things I’ve seen on TikTok. Including this one. The Weleda Skin Food is a moisturiser that I’ve seen countless people using on the platform. I picked up a 30ml bottle from Notino and thought I would give it a go. To tell you the truth, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Weleda. I thought it was something todo with Haircare but it’s a skincare brand which focuses on natural ingredients.

The Skin Food collection all come in this bright green packaging. The original Skin Food product is a rich, intensive cream for the face and body. However, there is also a few other products in the collection such as lip butter and a lighter version of the cream.  The products are all made up of precious organic ingredients and are also certified natural skin care.

The consistency of Skin Food is pretty rich and thick. I’d say it reminds me more of a paste than cream. I’m not really keen on how thick the product is and can take some effort to really get it rubbed into the skin. However, the product does come with a lot of hydration with the key ingredients known for soothing and nourishing problem skin. The scent is a citrus and herbal scent which isn’t too overpowering.

I’ve been using the product for a few weeks but I’ve come to the conclusion that unless you do have very problematic and rough skin, this isn’t an everyday moisturiser. Which is how it’s been used on TikTok. You’re better off using something like the Embroylisse Lait-Creme Concentré which is a lot lighter. However, I’d be very interested to try out the Skin Food light and see if that would work better on a daily basis. The original Skin Food would be great for treating problem areas. Not just on your face, it would be very good to hydrate like cracked elbows and rough knees. So, I’ll still be keeping this product around for more intensive problems.

Have you tried the Weleda Skin Food?

XOXO
