My Four Must Have Products from NYX

NYX has been a brand which has been on my radar for YEARS. There was a point where it was really hard to get your hands on NYX Professional Makeup in the UK yet everyone in the US beauty community was raving about the products. I think I originally brought some items back from my 2012 trip to NYC and also they did have a stand at the Clothes Show one year. Nowadays, NYX is widely available across the UK and online on websites such as Notino.co.uk.

As I mentioned, it’s probably a good TEN years since the hype with NYX started. Although I’ve not been a die-hard fan in recent years, I thought I would are some of my must-have products which I have loved from the brand. However, I do still have a HUGE list of products from them that I still want to try out.

Starting off with the latest addition to my NYX collection and that is the Angel Veil Primer. I’ve tried a few different primers from NYX and I’ve got to say I’ve been pretty impressed with them all. The Angel Veil Primer has been a cult favourite in the beauty community for a while so I wanted to give it a try. It’s been panned as a dupe for the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer (which is my all-time favourite primer but it’s so expensive) and I would say they are very similar. It creates a perfect base for applying your foundation and just leaves a silky smooth finish and it would work well for all skin types.

Probably my all-time favourite NYX products have got to be the Soft Matte Lip Creams! I absolutely love these lip products and I’m pretty sure I own the majority of the colour range. These are really affordable, long-lasting matte lip creams. They aren’t drying at all and I find that they are just beautiful to apply. The shades are named after different cities and I’ve got to say that Stockholm (a nude shade) is probably my most used one!

I’ve been on an endless mission to find the perfect liquid eyeliner. Although this isn’t my ultimate favourite liquid eyeliner, it’s up there. The NYX Epic Ink Liner is a black pen-like eyeliner which gives you excellent precision when applying liner to the lids. It’s mess-free and I find that it’s simple and easy to apply and the product stays on pretty well. Thankfully, I don’t have too many issues with make-up rubbing from my lids but this one still does stand the test of time and it’s one that I use frequently.

Finally, we’ve got the Dewy Finish Setting Spray. I bought this on a whim quite a long time ago. I was wanting an affordable setting spray which really kept my make-up in place. This one does the job and although it a Dewy Setting Spray, It doesn’t give you a shiny finish – It’s just right! My make-up seems to stay in place all day so I think it’s an excellent product.

I really do want to try out some more NYX products as I think it’s an excellent beauty brand. Overall, the products are really affordable and the products rival many of the high-end counterparts. You can find some really high-quality products at drugstore prices!
