I’m back with another post about Paris! This was last Friday, which we had a super busy day of walking about and just general sightseeing! We started off the day at the Fashion & Textile Museum (I think that’s what it was) right by the Louvre and we saw an exhibition about the Parisian style in the Eighteenth and Nighteenth century. The museum gift shop was like heaven, so many fashion books! The next stop was the Louvre, we didn’t go inside as i’ve been in before, we then went to Angelina’s a really posh tea room where the likes of Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn dined at back in the day. We felt the need to splurge a little, it was totally worth it! Afterwards we mooch around some really expensive shops and went to the original Chanel store on Rue Cambon and Colette which is worth a visit!
The next stop was Saint-Germain! We stopped by the French pharmacie made popular by Lisa Eldridge’s Youtube video (Haul coming shortly!). We walked down to the River Siene and found Shakespear & Company, a english bookstore – you might have seen it on like tumblr or weheartit. It’s such a cute store, we went upstairs and there is rooms full of old books and nooks to read, chess boards and even a piano! Such a cute place! We walked past Notre Dame Cathedral I’ve never been to it before, only past it on a boat! There was long ques to go inside so we didn’t bother and then we went to visit the infamous lock bridge. If you haven’t heard about this bridge you go with your loved one and add a lock to the bridge and throw the key in the river! Later on we went out for a late dinner to a chain restaurant called hippopotamus. I was ready for bed after that, but i had such a lovely day!
