How to Plan a Girl’s Weekend Away

Planning a weekend away with the girls? You can’t beat a trip with your best friends and this is a chance to visit somewhere new, escape your daily routines and let your hair down. These trips can also be difficult to plan so this post will offer a few tips that should come in handy.  How to Plan a Girl’s Weekend Away

Make a Group Budget

An awkward part of any group trip is money. It is important to recognize and be considerate that everyone has different financial circumstances, so you should be open and agree on a group budget first. Once you know what the maximum amount that you can spend is, you can then start to look at destinations, accommodation, etc.

Location

The exciting part is picking a destination for your weekend away and there are many great destinations in the UK to choose from. You might want to consider where everyone is coming from and pick somewhere that means that no one has to do a huge amount of travelling (this can also be expensive).

Packing

When it comes to packing, you want to make sure that you are prepared for the activities that you have lined up. The weather can also be unpredictable in the UK so it is a good idea to pack for all conditions! You also need to communicate to make sure that you are not all bringing the same party favours/games. This means that you want to choose a car that has ample boot room so that you can bring everything that you need for the weekend.

Making Memories

A girl’s weekend away will always be a highlight of the year and something to cherish. Therefore, you want to make sure that you cement these memories by taking lots of pictures. You can use your smartphone to take pics while out and about but you could also find photo booths, keep ticket stubs or even use a polaroid camera to capture the special moments of your time together.

Have Backups

There are always issues that arise on a weekend away with friends, especially if you are a group with a “go with the flow” attitude! Therefore, it is a good idea to have backup plans if your first option falls through (such as a restaurant that is at capacity). This will ensure that you always have something fun to do as a group.

Hopefully, the advice in this post will be useful when planning a special weekend away with the girls. These weekends are always fantastic fun and should be a highlight of the year, but they can also be stressful when it comes to planning and you will want to make sure that you cover all bases so that the weekend is one that you can all enjoy and cherish.

XOXO
