A couple of weeks ago, I popped along to Leeds on the train to a get a sneak preview of the brand new Homesense store. I’ve actually been pretty excited about Homsense opening in the city centre as I don’t really live near a store so this one is really accessible for me. The store is located on The Headrow at the top of the shopping area. Also, If you haven’t heard of Homesense they are the sister company of TK:Maxx. It’s basically a huge store dedicated to the Homeware section that you’d normally find in TK:Maxx aka my idea of heaven.
The store is two floors filled with gorgeous accessories and interiors for the house. You’ve got everything from pretty trinkets and trays perfect for blogging props to cushions, throws, cutlery and There was even a life-size statue of a dog. It’s also notebook heaven there, hundreds of different designs and styles. As a stationery addict, I was in my element. I know a few of the other girls felt the same and were also pretty excited about the extensive collection of candles.
I thought I would also show you what I picked up in-store. Homesense kindly provided us bloggers with gift cards to pick out some of our favourite items. The first thing I picked up was a lovely silver mirrored tray which was perfect to place my perfumes on. I believe it’s from the brand Nicole Miller Homeware brand and was £12.99.
Obviously, I couldn’t resist picking up a couple of notebooks, the life’s a beach one was only £2.99! I also picked up one with say yes to new adventures on the front. It has like a raw spine which I was thinking is it supposed to be like this but it was. I thought this would be a perfect notebook to take to America with me as a daily journal. It’s from a brand called doodle journal and inside the pages are so cool and unique with a fancy design. This one was £8.99 and I’ve also spotted this in my local TK:Maxx.
I managed to find a couple of other £2.99 bargains including this pink and gold marble desk organiser. I also found this blue and gold plaque to place on my wall. It says why the hell not? which I love and it’s also very like that that tiffany blue shade I love. There was also a massive selection of fake flowers for only £2.99 which is the perfect prop for blogging!
These were such lovely additions for my office space which is now nearly (finally) finished. All I need to do now is buy another new chair as I hate the one I got from Amazon – It’s so uncomfortable. I still really love the simplistic Scandinavian style so I’ve been looking at getting armchair from Hay. I also need to add a few more personal touches with maybe polaroid photos on the wall. I’ve also filmed a Homeware Haul where I go into more detail and include more items. It should be coming soon!
