My Current Beauty Favourites for Summer 2022
As Autumn is on the way, I may be a little delayed in publishing my Summer Beauty favourites but these are sort of what I’m currently loving and have done so for the last couple of months. Usually I am very set in my ways in what Beauty products I am using but I’ve found that I have been trying a lot of new things over the last six months. Some of these new products have ended up being firm favourites of mine and I think I’ll be using them for a long time to come!
Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base
I’ve finally caved and bought the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. This product is both a moisturiser and a primer and I’ve been using it most of the time since around May. I actually only bought the small travel size one to try it out and see how I got on and I ended up loving it. The product is a great base for make-up and also has Shea Butter therefore smells incredible. I’m going to do a full review soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
Supergoop SPF
Back when I visited NYC last Autumn, I picked up a little Supergoop SPF From Head to Toe Set from Sephora. I believe it was around $28 and included three miniature items including the everyday sunscreen lotion, primer and a setting spray. I wanted to include all three products in my favourites as I finally got them out and started using them this Summer. For one, the Supergoop Everyday Sunscreen Lotion is an absolute must have for daily sun protection. I’m also really enjoying the Unseen Sunscreen which is actually a primer. Make-up sets really well on top of it and it’s nice to know that it’s got SPF 40 in it. Finally the Defence Refresh Setting Spray is a good product for extra protection but I don’t think it’s got the best spray functionality for even coverage. I thought I’d include it anyway as it was part of the set but I’m not sure I’ll rush to pick that one up again.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter
It certainly won’t be the first time I’ve mentioned the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. This is the most elite product I’ve been using for the last couple of years. Throughout the Summer, I’ve tried a couple of dupes and nothing compares to the Flawless Filter. This is absolute must have for anyone’s make-up bag. I know it’s quite an expensive product but it’s 100% worth it. If you get anything from Charlotte Tilbury, make it this product.
Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand
Another Charlotte Tilbury product which I have been loving is their contour wands. They are quite hard to come by as they are always sold out, along with the beauty wand. I’ve been using the light to medium shade and they seem to be perfect for my skin tone. I have been loving how easy the contour wands are to use, blend and give you a bronzed glow. These retail at around £29 and they are worth it but I’d love to find a cheaper dupe.
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Concealer
This is yet another product which the people of TikTok have influenced me into buying. I saw a few beauty influencers talking about the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Concealer and how it’s the best they have tried. I am pretty loyal to the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer but I’ve got to admit this is up there! The Lancome concealer isn’t as creamy, however it does apply beautifully and has great coverage. I wouldn’t say it’s the best for spot concealing but this is great for under the eyes.
Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil
I’m not the biggest fan of wearing Lip Glosses but the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil is the exception. Although its marketed as a Lip Oil, it’s pretty similar to a glow yet i don’t find it as sticky. I have the shade pink and would love to pick up a few more. I also want to mention, I purchased it direct from the Dior website and it came in the most beautiful packaging!
I’m sure it won’t be long before I have a few more products to declare as favourites. I’ve been trying so much recently and to be honest, I’ve been pretty impressed with a lot of it! So stay tuned for some more beauty posts coming your way along with the usual travel and food content!
