My 2023 Beauty Favourites

It’s that time of the year again where I do my yearly beauty favourites. I feel like in the past year I’ve actually used quite a lot of new products which have landed in my make-up bag as firm favourites. If you’ve seen my recent blogpost My 2024 In’s and Out’s – you’ll have read how I’m trying my very best to use what I’ve got in my collection and certainly buy nothing else. I am definitely on a beauty ban right now.

I’ll start off with some make-up bits which I am absolutely loving right now and have become firm favourites.

ELF Halo Glow Liquid Filter

Starting off with a great product which has made it onto my favourites list and is also a great dupe! I didn’t think there would be a dupe that would come close to how much I love the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Filter but I’ve found it. I finally caved and tried the ELF Halo Glow Liquid Filter and it’s nearly a quarter of the price and just as amazing. It’s an impeccable doop and gives you such a healthy glow before applying your foundation. I’m fully obsessed and it’s worth checking out if you love the Hollywood Filter but don’t want to spend lots!

NARS Soft matte complete Concealer

I’m a massive fan of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, it’s my number 1 all-time favourite concealer. I’d heard some great things about the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer which comes in a pot and is a great spot concealer. This took ages to find in my shade available but it was worth the wait! It’s so heavy coverage and great if you have any pimples or redness to cover. I wouldn’t use under the eye as I think it’s too thick and would crease. The Radiant Creamy Concealer is perfect for under eye though, I just wish I wouldn’t use so many of them!

Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation

I picked the Haus Labs by Lady Gaga Foundation whilst in America in September and I am LOVING it. I’ve actually only just discovered that it is available to buy from the Sephora UK website so I’ll be able to repurchase. I feel like I can be ever so picky when it comes to finding a foundation that I really love but this was love on first application. It’s not too heavy but amazing coverage and gives you such a lovely glow. If I wasn’t on a beauty spending ban, I’d love to pick up the matching concealer and see if that’s as good!

Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Shaping Stick

This is the first product that I’ve actually bought of this kind. I’m usually a powder or proper liquid bronzer kind of gal. However, the Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Shaping Stick was another product which came highly recommended to me and I picked up in America. This is also now available in Sephora UK too. This is a game changer. My contour/bronzing game has reached another level with this product. It’s so easy to apply, buildable and so easy to blend. I’m really impressed! The product also comes with a little brush under the lid however I’ve not used that.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

Another brand which I’ve dipped my toes into was Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez. I think the brand across the board is pretty amazing. I’m sure I’ve loved their liquid matte lipstick for longer than a year so I won’t include. However, I’ve finally jumped on the Soft Pinch liquid blush bandwagon. When I tell you a little goes a long way with this product, I ain’t lying. This stuff is SO pigmented but so pretty. You need to smallest dot on each cheek. I’ve been using the shade Happy and it’s just a gorgeous pink blush shade.

Laneige Lip Glowy Balm

I am obsessed with the Laneige lip products. I think they are fantastic products for the lips. Of course, I had to get their Laneige Lip Glowy Balm. It’s on the pricey side but I’m loving this product. Using Alongside the sleep mask, my lips have fully being taken care of and hydrated.

Caudalie Pore Minimising Instant Detox Mask

I picked up the Caudalie Pore Minimising Instant Detox Mask after seeing a lot of hype around this product on TikTok. This mask is part of the Vinergetic C+ line at Caudalie and reduces your pores and cleanse your skin of impurities. I like that you can see this mask working once applied and you get immediate results. The mask will dry out and the pores will show up when it dries. A great addition to my skincare routine!

PIXI Vitamin-C CapsuleCare

A bold statement to make but I think the PIXI Vitamin-C Capsules are my skincare product of the year. I’ve been using these for a couple of months now and I feel like my skin has totally transformed since using them. My skin feels so much brighter and luminous. I’ve also had a few compliments on my complexion and I feel like I can only really pin it on this product! The serum comes in little capsules which is exactly the right amount of product that you need. I use after the Pixi Glow Tonic and before applying moisturiser. A definate hero products of 2023 for me.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops

Glow Recipe is a brand which I’ve been using a lot in the last year. My favourite product from all of the skincare line I tried was the Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops. It’s such a hydrating and brightening product and a great base for make-up. Word on the street (TikTok) is that this is going to be released with bronzing drops like the Drunk Elephant ones. They look pretty good – I may need to break the beauty ban for those!

Color Wow Dream coat Supernatural Spray

Colour Wow Dream coat spray is one of those products which went viral as it actually makes your hair waterproof. I think it’s an excellent product to use when blow drying my hair with the Dyson Airwrap and leaves my hair feeling pretty sleek and of course, waterproof. The Dream Coat spray leaves my hair looking super silky and so healthy!

Color Wow Color Security Shampoo

Another Color Wow product which I had to include in my favourites is the Color Security Shampoo. I don’t actually colour my hair but this shampoo is incredible. The formula of this shampoo really cleanses your hair and really gets rid of all the rubbish such as dry shampoo and sprays. It’s a lightweight shampoo but feels ultra luxurious. It’s safe to say I’m a HUGE fan of Colour Wow in this past year.
