Beauty: May Favourites 2014

Yesterday was spent recovering from my day in London on Thursday. I attended a few events including a party with new shopping platform Grabble. It was a really good night and I’ll be doing a blog post on my day soon! I don’t normally do beauty favourites but I thought I’d do it this month as a few products have tickled my fancy. I normally find brilliant products and just stick to those couple of things but I’m branching out.

Laura Geller Spackle under primer* – £24

I received this in a goody bag when I went to QVC’s press day last year and I’ve only just started using it. The application is roll-on and really simple and easy. It leaves a silky smooth finish and defiantly sets the foundation well. I was really impressed with the amount of product in the tube too!

Tanya Burr Nail Polish in Little Duck – £5.99

Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Picnic in the Park – £6.99

There was a lot of hype surrounding Tanya Burr’s collection back in February. I only just picked up a couple of items when they landed in Superdrug and these two were my favourites. I think Little Duck is a great colour for the nails and it’s perfect for Summer.

Picnic in the Park is one of those lip glosses that can be worn all the time. It’s a really pretty colour without being too over the top. I had a similar one like this from Barry M but the Tanya Burr one isn’t as sticky.

Royal and Langnickel  BC10 Silk Contour Brush – $9.99

I bought this at the Beauty Show at the NEC earlier this month for about £4 along with some others which I haven’t tried. They seem like lovely brushes, nice and soft. I’ve been loving this one though, applying bronzer to contour my face. It really gives you great definition.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara – £7.99

The Falsies Mascara is a very recent purchase, i was talked into buying this on twitter. I swear by my Benefit They’re real mascara but this is a great alternative. I’ve been loving it so far, it’s making my lashes really full and long!

Dior Rosy Glow Blush – £30.50

I have wanted this blush ever since Essie Button raved on about it ages ago. I then had a little Dior makeover and they used this on me. I knew it had it to be mine. This blush is completely adaptable to any skin tone and it’s what they use backstage at catwalk shows. It really does make your skin glow and it’s such a pretty shade! I possibly may do these posts every month as I seem to spend a lot more than I used to on beauty products – oops!

Also, the winner of my ELF Giveaway has been contacted and is… Charlotte Clark! YAY!

XOXO
