Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick Review

Believe it or not, I’m kind of on a beauty products purchasing ban. However, I can never help myself when it comes to lipsticks. Whether it’s liquid matte lipsticks or moisturising lipsticks, I love trying out lot’s of different ones. I’ve got a post coming soon on some of my favourite liquid matte lipsticks but this post is all about the latest moisturising lipstick to be added to my collection. I’ve picked up the YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipstick in the shade 85 Nu Fatal from Notino. It can always be quite a challenge buying beauty online with different shades but this looked like a lovely pinky nude.

This is actually the first YSL lipstick I’ve had from the Rouge Pur Couture collection. I’ve tried some of the matte lipsticks and the more balmy lip products before but I thought it would be great to give this one a go. The packaging as all the YSL beauty products are to die for. I love the statement gold hardware and the lipstick comes with the YSL embedded into the product. It feels very high end which I suppose is what you want when you are paying a higher price.

The Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks are probably the most popular lipsticks at Yves Saint Laurent with a huge shade range. As i said this one offers a moisturising finish, I’m usually a matte girl so I was interested to see how I’d feel about it. The shade 85 Nu Fatal was quite similar to my lips but better and slightly pinkie and darker. I’m a big fan of the shade and proud that I managed to choose that one online. The first application saw the product apply really smoothly and found that it’s really pigmented. I loved how the product felt on my lips as I’ve been suffering from dry lips recently and this felt amazing to apply. I’m tempted to try out a few more shades as I’m pretty impressed.
