2021 Beauty & Haircare Favourites
We’re already nearly at the January but I couldn’t not post about my 2021 Beauty Favourites. Even though it is super late! Every year, I do like to do a little post to mention a few products which I’ve discovered in the last 12 months which have become absolute favourites of mine. I am a creature of habit so my beauty routine rarely changes. It’s not very often that I do switch up what I use on a daily basis but I have found some great products in 2021 which I need to share!

Charlotte tilbury hollywood flawless filter
I’m sure I’m not the only person who is obsessed with this product. I think I first picked up the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter last January and I’ve used it every day since. This product just makes your skin flawless, dewy and radiant. You can use as primer, a standalone face product or on top of foundation to highlight the cheekbones. I’ve used the product in all three of those ways but I do tend to use it regularly under my foundation. Charlotte Tilbury has just released a new Beautiful Skin Foundation which is said to be very similar to the Flawless Filter but with a bit more coverage. I’ve ordered it so who knows, maybe it’ll be on next years favourites. I have high hopes.

Charlotte Tilbury magic cream
Another Charlotte Tilbury product for my favourites! & another ultimate must have from the brand; Charlotte’s Magic Cream. This moisturiser is quite an expensive one but it just feels amazing on the skin. It leaves your complexion so radiant and healthy looking. Trust me, I wouldn’t be spending that much on a moisturiser if it wasn’t something truly special. Charlotte Tilbury has some incredible products, I’m hoping to try a few more this year including the Pinkgasm liquid blush if I can ever get my hands on it!

Glossier milky jelly cleanser
I wanted to mention this product as it only got a ‘special mention’ in the 2020 Beauty Favourites. The Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser has got to be the best cleanser that I’ve tried. Period. Nothing has come close to this one and I’ve used a lot of cleansers. I love the formula of it, the scent and it leaves your skin so smooth, clean and soft. It’s not too expensive and I’d say this is certainly a must have from Glossier. Don’t forget you can get 10% off your first purchase on Glossier through this link.

Glossier you eau de parfum
After receiving numerous samples with previous Glossier orders, I finally bit the bullet and ordered the Glossier You Eau De Parfum. This retails at £45 for 50ml which i guess is middle of the road for a price point. I was unsure on it after testing a few times but I’m completely sold on it now. I feel like this is my new goto signature scent and I’ll certainly be re-purchasing. It’s nothing like anything I have with notes of pink pepper, white floral and ambrette seeds.

smashbox photo finish primer
I feel like I’m quite late to the party with this primer. The Smashbox Photo Finish Primer has been a must have for a long time within the beauty community but I’ve only just tried it. I feel like it gives a great base under your make-up and really reminds of that smooth finish you get from the Hourglass Primer which is an all time favourite of mine (just so expensive!). This certainly has become a staple in my make-up bag.
Anastasia beverly hills dipbrow gel
You might have noticed that the Glossier Boy Brown made the 2020 beauty favourites but I have moved over to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel. I’d say both products are pretty much on par with each other but I’d say that Boy Brow dries out very quickly and I think it could have less product in the tube anyway. I know the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel is a little more expensive but I’d say this product has the edge. It keeps my brows in place all day and I just love how they sit when brushed out.

l’oreal Wonder Water
This has got to be the biggest haircare discovery of 2021. After seeing so many adverts, I caved and bought it. L’Oréal’s Wonder Water retails for £10 but usually you’ll be able to find it half price somewhere. This water is to be applied after shampooing and in only 8 seconds it works miracles on the ends. You don’t have to condition after use but I do usually do. My hair has never been a soft and silky since I’ve been using this. I do use this every time I wash my hair and then Olaplex every 2 weeks or so but my hair has never been in such good condition.

Dr Paw Paw overnight lip mask
Finally, we’ve got the Dr Paw Paw Overnight Lip Mask. Especially in Winter, my lips can get ever so dry and I’ve found that this is a great product to put on before bed and my lips feel so soft and moisturised in the morning. You don’t have to use this on an evening and you can use it as a regular lip balm during the day to keep your lips moisturised.I believe this mask is actually a new product to the brand within the last year or so and is completely natural and vegan friendly. I have a few other Dr Paw Paw products I need to open and try but I’m hoping they’ll also be a big hit with me.
I’d love to hear what products you have been loving recently. I’m always on the look out for new beauty products (even though I’m on a spending ban!)
