Three Amazing Highlighters to Suit Every Budget!

If you’ve been following me for a long time, it’ll be no secret that when it comes to beauty products I’m obsessed with a great highlighter. I’ve acquired quite the collection of highlighting products from a range of different brands and formulas. I’m all about having a dewy complexion and really highlighting the cheekbones. I thought I would share some of my favourite highlighters in my collection which will also suit any budget!

Makeup Revolution Reloaded Highlighter

Make-up Revolution have a collection of budget-friendly products which many under £5! I’ve not tried too many items but one thing I have tried is their highlighters! The Makeup Revolution Reloaded Highlighters are actually pretty good. The one I use is in the shade Dare to Divulge. I tend to go for champagne toned highlighters for everyday use, this one is slightly more bronzed (think Champagne Pop) making it ideal for more full-on looks and even going out out. The quality of these highlighters are amazing though, especially for the purse-friendly prices.

The Balm, mary-lou Manizer highlighter

I’ve got to say the Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighting powder by theBalm has got to be one of my all-time favourite products. I think I’ve probably repurchased this three or four times and used it continuously throughout the years. theBalm do actually have a few highlighting powders; Mary-Lou, Bonnie-Lou, Emma-Lou and Cindy-Lou. I actually have only tried the Mary-Lou one but have found it’s the perfect champagne shade to give a gentle glow to my cheekbones. I’d say it’s a pretty universal shade, not too overpowering yet can still be built up. This product will always be a staple in my make-up bag!

mac mineralize skin finish in soft & gentle

Finally on the higher end of the budget is the MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skin Finish in the shade Soft & Gentle. This highlighting powder has been a cult favourite amongst beauty bloggers for years. I think I was a little late to the party as I only picked this up a few years ago. Immediately, I could see why it’s a favourite with beauty gurus. Soft & Gentle is the perfect shade for highlighting your cheekbones and giving yourself a gorgeous glow to the complexion. I do find this formula does have larger speckles of shimmer than others I have tried but overall, I do really love Soft & Gentle. MAC do also have another Mineralize Skin Finish in the shade Global Glow which I have also tried. That one is a lot deeper and bronzed and I have actually used it as a bronzer but it was a very shimmery look!
