Primer: Let’s start with the base, I’ve recently discovered the NYX Photo Loving Primer and so far I have been loving it. The primer gives the skin such a smooth finish and a great base for foundation.
Foundation & Concealer: I finally caved and bought Nars Sheer Glow and I haven’t looked back. It really does live up to the hype and is a great staple in the make-up bag. Paired with the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, these two are the ultimate dream team!
Highlighter: 2015 was all about the highlighter’s for me, I love a good highlight and it was really difficult to pick my favourite so I’ve chosen two! My ultimate highlighter of 2015 was the Becca X Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop, which is now available in the UK! I have never seen a highlight like this, such a creamy consistency for a powder and I love that this is has a golden shimmer through it which is different to what I normally go for. The other highlighter I have to mention is the Peaches & Cream highlighter which I bought at the start of December at the Clothes Show. I bought quite a few items from Peaches & Cream after hearing about the brand from Rose from Mix Gems Beauty – I’ll be doing a full review on all the products I bought soon but the highlighter is incredible. The longevity is incredible, it lasts on the skin all day and it’s just a brilliant product that I’m so impressed with.
Bronzer: It’s no secret that I am the biggest fan of Nars, so when it comes to bronzers I’m staying loyal to Nars Laguna, which I also only just bought in 2015. It’s a great bronzer and I personally thought it wouldn’t suit me but it is pretty universal. You can find out what my other Nars holy grail items are in this post.
Mascara: I use many mascara’s but a brilliant launch this year was the Benefit’s Roller Lash. I absolutely love this mascara and I was fortunate to go the launch. I think I love They’re Real a tiny bit more but Roller Lash is a great mascara for the daytime and gives a great curl to the lashes.
Eyeliner: I picked up the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper whilst in Florida this year and It’s one of the best liner’s I have tried, It’s not smudged once and lasts all day and doesn’t budge.
Eyeshadow Palette: I have raved about the Lorac Pro palette so much, I can’t tell you how much I love this palette. It’s possibly my favourite Beauty purchase of the year. The shades in the palette are incredible with eight mattes and eight shimmers – There is a perfect balance of shadows. The shadows are really pigmented and long lasting, the shadow garnet has become my go to shade.
Lashes: I’ve started wearing false eyelashes a lot in 2015, I just love them. The Fleur De Force for Eylure lashes in Fleur Loves are currently my favourites. I love that they are 3/4 length lashes which I prefer but they make my lashes look longer without been too over the top.
Nails: I received the Nails Inc, NailKale in a beauty box a couple of months ago and my nails aren’t the best but I’ve definitely seen an improvement since using this as a base coat.
Lips: There’s been so many amazing lip products I have fallen in love with over the course of 2015. When I love a lipstick, I have to buy it in all the colours! The Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencils are a great matte pencil, really long lasting and creamy. The shade Nude Perfection is a great dupe for MAC’s Velvet Teddy and only a snip of the price. The NYX Matte Lip Creams are incredible, so long lasting and a great colour range – I now own ten shades and plan to buy more! These are brilliant for only £5.50 and available from Feel Unique and Selfridges. Finally, I have been loving the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks, I bought the French Kisses Christmas set so I’ve been trying them out for the past month and they are similar to the NYX lip creams buy I think they last on the lips just a little bit better.
Cleansing Brush & Gel: For the past six months I have been using the No7 cleansing Brush and the Melting Cleansing Gel, these two work together wonderfully. The brush is an excellent exfoliator and I’ve tried a couple of cleansing brushes and this one is just as good as some of the more pricier ones. Thr No7 Cleansing Brush is £15 but if you’re lucky there’s a set in the Boxing Day sales for £15 which includes the Cleansing Gel and Face Cream!
Face Oil: After attending a Kiehl’s event in York earlier this month, I have officially been turned into a massive fan of the brand. I picked up the Midnight Recovery Oil and I’ve been using it every evening and I can see such a huge difference in my skin. It looks healthier, radiant and it also really helps with dry skin. I’m going to pick up the Ulta Facial Cream tomorrow as I’ve been using a miniature I was given and love this too!
Fragrance: I thought I’d also just give a little mention to one of my favourite new fragrances, I love the Marc Jacobs Fragrance’s but a picked up Dot in a rollerball whilst in Sephora and love it. I now want the full size one but the rollerball is so handy to pop in my handbag and take around with me.
