My Fake Tanning Essentials
I do usually go through phases of fake tanning all the time and then leaving it for months. During lockdown, I’ve been reaching for a few different fake tans to see what works for me best. I do have to admit that whenever I tan, I feel so much more confident. I thought I would share some of the fake tan products I’ve been using lately to get a streak-free tan with an easy application. Two of the most important things for me and also not to look like an Oompa Loompa.

Thalgo Spa Joyaux Atlantique Scrub
To prepare the skin for tanning, probably one of the most important steps to exfoliate the skin. I’ve been using this Thalgo Spa Shower Scrub for the last couple of months, especially on my legs and they feel so silky and smooth after a shower. Although this is quite a luxury and pricey item, it’s one that I like to indulge in. I also would be quite curious to try a few other items from Thalgo as they do have a fake tanning range.

St. Tropez Gradual Tan
I’ve been switching between two tanning products, the first being the St.Tropez Gradual Tan which is a gradual moisturising tan. I’ve had a few bad experiences with some drugstore alternatives but I’ve always found that this Gradual Tan applies really well. The tan can be built up over a few days of applying and I’ve found that it doesn’t streak like some similar gradual tans. St Tropez really is one of the leading brands in tanning so it’s no shock that they are in my fake tanning routine. I also use the St.Tropez Prep & Maintain applicator, it’s really high quality and super soft for application.

NKD sKN Babe Water self-tanning spray
The other tanning product which I have been using recently is the NKD SKN Babe Water. I was a little sceptical about this product as there were minimal reviews online but I really wanted to try a fake tanning water for the body. This product is super easy to apply, you just spray the area you are wanting that bronzed glow – I usually use the St.Tropez applicator to apply. All you have to do is leave the product and it shall develop over the next couple of hours. You don’t have to wash it off which is super convenient and the tan lasts pretty well. I’ve been loving this product for ease and lack of streakiness. As I said before, two things I really look for in a fake tan.
XOXO
