My April Beauty & TV Favourites
Whilst we’ve been lockdown, I’ve been trying out lot’s of different beauty products and binge-watching so much TV so I thought it would be a good time to do my monthly favourites. April has been a weird one, we’ve spent the whole month in lockdown. One of my main goals for lockdown is to try and use up some products, have a good clear-out and in the process discover some new favourites. I’ll start off this post with a few beauty favourites which I have been loving recently.

Lumene Blur Longwear Foundation
First up in this month’s favourites is the Blur Longwear Foundation from Lumene. I wasn’t actually too familiar with this brand but I’m sure it’s a Nordic brand as this product is actually infused with Arctic Spring Water. I’m super impressed with this foundation as it applies beautifully and really just looks so flawless. It feels really lightweight on the skin yet offers amazing coverage. I did pick up the shade light ivory which is the second to lightest shade but I could’ve probably done with a darker shade. I will definitely be re-purchasing as the formula is great. The product also contains SPF 15 which is always an added bonus!
Antipodes Kiwi Seed Gold Eye Cream
Another product which I have been loving in the last month is the Antipodes Kiwi Seed Gold Eye Cream. I was really fortunate to be sent a few things from Antipodes and this eye cream really caught my attention. This limited edition cream is actually formulated with 24K gold flakes which you can see. To be honest, eye cream is always the one product which I skip in my skincare routine but I’ve been really enjoying this cream. Not only is it super luxurious with the gold speckles, I feel that it brightens the under the eye. I’ll be doing a full review of the Antipodes products I’ve been trying very soon!

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm
The Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm has been a favourite amongst bloggers for a very long time. I actually didn’t try this until using it in a skincare masterclass at Rudding Park Spa last year. I knew it was a product I had to pick up and it’s become a firm favourite in my skincare routine. The cleansing balm is such a nourishing and hydrating formula but it just leaves you skin feeling amazing. After the masterclass last year, I believe that one of the main ingredients being Padina Pavonica is what makes it stand out. This is a fabulous anti-ageing ingredient and I also have to note that it smells lovely. I’ve been using it with my next favourite to really cleanse the skin.

BeGlow TIA Sonic Skincare System
I’ve been using the BeGlow TIA skincare system for the last couple of months and it makes cleansing so easy. The BeGlow system is fully waterproof and I use with my cleansing balm to remove all the nastiness from my skin and improve the appearance of my skin. The little silicone head can be removed so it’s super easy to clean or even replace once it gets super grubby. It’s actually a great piece of technology which can even define your jawline and cheekbones with its dual pulse contouring.

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist
My final beauty favourite for April is the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist. This is actually a product which I’ve had for a while but hadn’t opened it until a couple of weeks ago. I love a good facial mist and this one is so refreshing and hydrating and smells absolutely amazing. I tend to use it twice a day after doing my make-up and on an evening before bed. This probably isn’t a must-have beauty item but it’s something nice to use.

Cadbury’s Egg N Spoon Treats
I thought I would include one of my favourite tasty treats in April. We all know that Easter was filled with amazing chocolate delights. The one thing I became obsessed with was the Cadbury’s Egg N Spoon. The eggs are filled with chocolate mousse. I managed to pick a couple up after Easter on sale in the supermarket but sadly I’m on my last pack and I don’t think we will get any more until next year! Do let me know if you know where I can find them though!
Disney+ & Netflix
We’ve all been glued to the TV’s binge-watching so many different shows since lockdown. Disney+ has been an absolute lifesaver for lockdown but I’m going to do a whole post on Disney+ tommorow so stay tuned. I thought I would just list some shows which have been favourites of mine over the last month or so in case you are looking for something to watch!
- The Imagineering Story (Disney+)
- Lady & The Tramp 2020 (Disney+)
- After Life (Netflix)
- Tiger King (Netflix)
- The Mummy Diaries
- New Girl (Now on Netflix YAY!)
- Race Around the World (BBC)
- Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip (ITV)
Let me know if you have any TV recommendations, I’m always looking for new things to watch. What have been some of your favourites this month?
XOXO
