I’ve been teasing you all with photo’s of my trip to Ibiza but I’m finally sitting down to write about my trip with icelolly.com. I have always wondered what was the appeal to go to Ibiza season after season but I now I get it. I understand the hype and I already want to go back!
Let’s rewind, a couple of weeks ago I received an e-mail from icelolly.com asking if I was interested in going to Ibiza with them for a couple of days and of course, I said yes! I was soon meeting the girl’s (Emma, Jen, Sophie & Lucy) in Manchester Airport and ready to fly off to The White Isle. We were staying at the Palladium Palmyra Hotel in San Antonio on an all-inclusive basis.
The hotel which was adults-only was absolutely stunning and we actually were upgraded on arrival to a Bungalow Suite which ironically had two floors. The room was stunning with our own private entrance out to the pool. It wasn’t long until we were all sprawled out around the pool. We quickly fathomed that the all inclusive drinks were pretty damn good (the best I’ve ever experienced). Unlimited jugs of sangria and bottles of cava. Yes, please!
In Ibiza, there’s always something going on. After been shown an extensive schedule for all the clubs and hotel’s we decided to check out The Zoo Project. Just on the outskirts of San Antonio, it’s actually in an abandoned Zoo. The whole vibe of it was amazing with different stages in abandoned enclosures, performers and there was even a chilled out relaxation zone with massages and tarot card reading! A very unique experience.
The next morning, I had to mentally prepared myself for what was to come. We were going Parasailing. Definitely not something I would sign myself up for but when in Ibiza, right? I was terrified and convinced It wasn’t going to end well. It ended up being really fun, although just a tad scary but I’m so glad I conquered it head on. We got to see some incredible views over San Antonio Bay and even took a little dip in the sea!
Another day, another party. This time, it was Craig David’s TS5 Pool Party at Ibiza Rocks Hotel. First off, the Ibiza Rocks Hotel is insane. Secondly, Craig David knows how to put on a party. The afternoon included lots and lots of dancing.
Sunset Strip is home to Cafe Del Mar and Cafe Mambo and the place to be on an evening if you want to catch the incredible sunset. The other girls were raving about the Sunset and how incredible it was. We were determined to see it and even had to sprint down to the strip so we didn’t miss it. I love the atmosphere, music was played as the sun went down and everyone clapped and cheered. A truly unmissable beautiful experience.
Paddleboarding and Snorkelling were on the agenda for our final day. I’ve never been paddleboarding so again, I was quite apprehensive. After getting caught up in a net, crashing into a couple of moored boats and then realising a double-decker ferry was about to run us all down, I finally got the hang of it. I was pretty proud of myself and I didn’t fall in! Result! I’m thinking about trying out again but somehow I don’t think the North Sea will have the same effect as the beautiful bay’s of Ibiza.
On our final evening in Ibiza, we headed over to Ushuaia in Playa D’en Bossa to see one of the biggest DJ’s in the world; David Guetta. Going to see one of the big DJ’s whilst out in Ibiza was something I really wanted to do. The show was pretty spectacular with different performers including a lady floating across the crowd and on entrance we got free hats, bags and foam fingers thrust upon us. They really did go all out with the show and it lived up to David Guetta’s ‘BIG’ show. I had a fabulous night and it was the perfect ending to an amazing trip.
