Festive Gift Guide: For Him

It’s that time of the year again! My favourite time – Christmas! Whilst it seems earlier than usual, it’s never too early to get prepared for the big day. I always love doing the Festive Gift Guides as my love language is definitely giving presents! You don’t always have to go overboard though, and spending time together across the festive period is the most important thing! As always, I have several Festive Gift Guides coming your way, and today, we are starting with the males in your life. This Festive Gift Guide should give you some excellent ideas of what to buy your partner, dads, uncles and brothers. Also, stay tuned as I’m going to do a giveaway with each Festive Gift Guide too!

Starting with a great Ted Baker gift set. The Ted Baker Complete Collection includes a selection of grooming essentials in quite a large wash bag. The set includes body sprays, deodorant and body wash in a selection of fragrances. It’s also worth mentioning that you can buy this set from Boots, but if you are quick, it’s currently their star buy and is half price! So grab a bargain asap if you like the look of this one. Ted Baker Complete Collection Gift Set

The Nivea Wintervan Giftset is another great grooming set and would also make an excellent stocking filler. This adorable van-shaped set includes four winter essentials like a shower gel, roll-on deodorant, lip balm and body cream. There is also a women’s version of the Winter Van available and can be bought from Boots, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.

Another excellent stocking filler for the man who likes to look after his skin is from Barber PRO. They have a selection of face masks available on ASOS or you can pick up a mult-masking face set, which includes three different masks. This would also make a great stocking filler, and face masks are a great way to get men into looking after their skin a bit more.

You can never go wrong with picking up a fragrance for a gift. It’s always a gift I buy for Stefan for every birthday and Christmas as it’s not somethinf he treats himself to! The Savile Row Company Mayfair Fragrance actually was a finalist in the Pure Beauty Awards in 2024 and is a great option for a gift. The fragrance is sophisticated with notes of spicy cardamon, orange flower, nutmeg, tonkabean and amber. I think Stefan would really like this scent and would be great for everyday luxury.

One thing that is usually on the top of men’s wishlists is something food-related. Whether it’s hampers, sweet treats or gift vouchers, the promise of food always usually goes down very well. I’ve added this Cheese Board from Sainsbury’s as Cheese always is a must at Christmas. This would work so well as part of a hamper or just to accompany an array of different cheeses and maybe even wine. I’ve not got a link for this particular item but I’ll add if I find it!

For those who are a dab hand in the kitchen and appreciate the fancier things. How about something from the Artisan Olive Oil Company? Also, an excellent addition for a hamper. I’ve got the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI Oro Due Vittorie which looks ever so fancy. This product was made in the heart of Modena and Reggio Emilia, crafted with cooked grape must and matured using traditional methods to develop depth and natural sweetness. Perfect for serving with a salad or finishing vegetables and roasted meats.

I can’t not include something for those with a sweet tooth. Of course, a box of chocolates won’t go a miss. Whether you are looking for that little extra gift to give to someone or a stocking filler, grab a box of their favourite chocolates and you won’t go far wrong. I’ve been buying a massive bar of dairy milk for my Dad every year because a sweet treat is always a good idea. Lily O’Briens have a great selection of chocolates which are sold in many supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco and online at Amazon. How delicious do these salted caramel truffels sound?

I think as a nation we are obsessed with a good cup, Which is a good thing! More hydration and using reusable cups are always a good thing. SoleCup have a range of different cups, whether you are looking for a huge water bottle, one for loose tea or the original Glass Travel Cup, which is great for tea, coffee, smoothies and water! If you are looking for a budget-friendly gift for an outdoor lover, then I’ve got the gift for you. The pocket adventure books cover over 70 areas around the UK, from cities to the countryside. I’ve got the North York Moors one, which includes 40 country and coast walks in the area. It would make a great stocking filler and inspiration for some lovely walks in the new year. I’m sure we all have someone in the family who loves a good quiz or knowing all the trivia. I spotted this After Eight Trivia tin in Sainsbury’s and thought it would make an ideal Christmas present. Especially for someone who loves trivia, but also to whack out after your Christmas lunch. The tin is a lot like an After Eight chocolates tin (which also would make a great present!), which I love!

Another excellent gift which I always include every single year is a good Calendar. This BBC Earth calendar is excellent for a nature or animal lover who can hang in their office space. Danilo has an amazing selection of calendars and diaries from football teams, TV shows and movies. I think the BBC Earth one is rather beautiful as the images are just so gorgeous! There are also desk calendars available.

Finally, I’ve got a few tipples to include in the Festive Gift Guides. I have a few people in my family who would love this one. The Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon Whisky would make an excellent gift and has a blend of four original bourbon recipes, each contributing to its mellow spice, rich fruit, and hints of sweet oak and caramel. I don’t know much about Whisky, but i know this one is a good’un. The recipient of this gift will be able to enjoy it neat, over ice, or in a classic cocktail such as the Old Fashioned or Manhattan. Our final gift in this Festive Gift Guide for the men in your life features Engine Gin. We’re a big Gin household and there is plenty of family members, including Stefan, who have gin as their preferred tipple. We’ve tried Engine gin a few times now, and I’m obsessed with the vibrant packaging! Engine gin is a London Dry gin handmade by the master distillers of the Alta Langa area, in northwestern Italy. I’ve picked up this Engine Gin gift set, which includes a light tonic water and a little tin cup. It’s an excellent set to introduce someone to Engine gin and would make a great stocking filler. It’s way too easy to get swept up in the festive buzz and end up spending more than you planned. Choose what feels right, stick to your own budget, and remember — thoughtful doesn’t have to mean expensive. The best gifts are the ones that feel good to give, not the ones that stretch your bank account.
