Festive Gift Guide: For Little Ones
I’m back with another Festive Gift Guide for 2025, and this one is for the little ones in your life. Whether it’s babies, toddlers or even teenagers, I’ve hopefully got you covered. I’ve got NINE nieces and nephews, and they are of all ages, so it’s chaos at Christmas. There are numerous toys and trends to keep up with, as well as what everyone thinks is cool. The whole market is a minefield, but hopefully, there are a few ideas to help you along the way. Stay tuned as I’ve also got another Christmas giveaway, and this is a pretty amazing prize!
Starting with a personal favourite of mine, which is a Baby Annabell doll. Let me tell you, when I was four years old, this was the best present I received, and I still have it at my parents’ house. This is such an excellent gift for the younger child who likes nurturing play and is a staple in most toy boxes. Believe it or not, they have truly excelled with loads more interactive features since I got mine more than 25 years ago. There are countless accessories and outfits to pair with Baby Annabell. Baby Annabell – Leah Doll & Outfit
Another super sweet present idea is the Baby Born: My Lucky Dog. Lucky the dog is a great alternative for those who are desperate for a puppy. It’s soft and cuddly, and it can be taken for walks, have belly rubs, wag its tail and even barks. What blows my mind is can actually drink real water too! Lucky the dog also comes in its own kennel. For toddlers (or even slightly older Bing fans), the Bing Talking Soft Toy is utterly adorable — and full of personality. When you press it, Bing speaks phrases from the show, which makes playtime so much more interactive and lifelike. It’s a great gift for a child who loves Bing’s world, and it turns a snuggly plush into something that feels almost like having their favourite TV friend in their arms.
Also for toddlers, Orchard Toys Under the Sea Wooden Nesting Puzzle is a lovely choice. This puzzle is available for ages 1 and above and supports key development skills. Little hands will enjoy fitting the pieces together, and older kids can appreciate the craftsmanship and lovely seaside theme. It’s a thoughtful present that encourages learning at a young age. I’m sure we can all agree that Paddington is one of the most beloved children’s figures. He is also everywhere at the moment, and I’m also obsessed with him. From The Adventures of Paddington TV Show, you can pick up Bessie the Campervan. It’s a sweet little set which includes Paddington and, of course, his marmalade sandwich. I think it’s also worth mentioning that if it’s within your budget and you have a little one who loves Paddington, the hottest ticket in town is Paddington the Musical in London. To be honest, aged 31, tickets to Paddington the Musical at the Savoy Theatre are at the top of my Christmas list.
For the crafty little ones, Craft Buddy has some amazing crystal art sets. My niece loves this, and Stitch is her favourite character at the moment, so this is perfect. You can get singular craft sets, or this Mega Activity contains a few different activities, including 10 sheets of stickers. This looks like such a fun activity and there are loads of other characters, including Star Wars, Care Bears, Harry Potter and Peter Rabbit. Another gift for those who love crafting is the Dinosaur Craft-It! Box from Baker Ross. It’s packed with dinosaur-themed craft materials — think cut-outs, stickers, paints, and more — so they can build, decorate, and create their own prehistoric world. It’s perfect for quiet afternoons, creative play or festive downtime, and gives them that sense of making something from scratch, which is just the kind of enriching, playful gift that feels super thoughtful.
Also from Baker Ross, for the little ones who are endlessly curious and love hands-on fun, the Science Magic Bubble Slime is a totally brilliant gift. We also know that kids love to collect items. I’m sure a certain couple of blind boxes from Popmart may be the top of many Christmas lists this year. However, for something a little different, the absolutely adorable Foodibles soft plush toys make a great little gift. These aren’t blind boxes, so you can choose what you get and avoid duplicates. For those looking for the best of both worlds when it comes to blind boxes, the Twisty Petz has two visible toys and one hidden, so you still have the element of surprise! You can collect Twisty Petz and make them into wearable jewellery items such as bracelets and necklaces. These are great for kids and teens who love girly accessories or imaginative play.
Miniso is one of my favourite stores when it comes to finding cute gifts for the little ones in my family. The stock loads of products from brands such as Hello Kitty, Minecraft, Harry Potter, Powerpuff Girls, Pokémon and Disney. Minecraft always goes well with a few of my nephews, as they love the game. On Miniso, you can get all sorts from soft toys, notebooks, backpacks and tumblers. I’ve picked out the Minecraft tumbler, which is great for those who love the game and would make a great stocking filler.
The other item I picked up from Miniso was the My Little Pony Butterfly Lip Balm Kit. This would also make a great stocking filler, and I know a lot of little girls would love to have this to carry around in their handbags. There are also some other really cute My Little Pony items on Miniso, from tote bags, hairbrushes, and they also sell blind boxes of figurines!
Nothing beats a Christmas book and my top pick for 2025 is ‘We’re Going on a Christmas Hunt’ by Tracy
A gift for all of the family, but I’m sure the little ones will enjoy all the characters of the Disney Family Planner. You can keep up to date with all the family plans and have different columns of plans for each family member. The Disney Planner features loads of classic characters from movies like The Lion King, Dumbo and The Jungle Book.
