Protecting Your Hair in the Sun
We all know that wearing SPF and protecting your skin is the number one priority whilst in the sun. Protecting our skin in the Sun is super important so we can prevent any long-lasting damage. However the Sun and UV rays can also damage our hair and scalp. With extreme exposure to sunlight, you may see a change in colour or damage to your hair. In particular if you have coloured hair. There are plenty of options for Sun Protection for hair. There are so many mists and oils that you can use which will protect your hair and scalp against sunlight and I cannot recommend them enough. I have tried the Aveda Suncare Protective Hair Veil which protects against UV radiation and it leaves your hair hydrated and fresh which is always a bonus.

Another product that I’ve been using is the Lee Stafford Coco Loco Colour and Damage Defender. This is a UV spray with coconut oil which can help stop colour fading and discolouration after exposure to chlorine, sea salt and UV rays. This spray acts as an invisible shield against the sunlight and it smells actually incredible. I know I don’t have dyed hair but I do think that this is a great product to use especially on holiday to keep your hair on top form against the elements.
As it is blended with agave essences, the spray can acts as a detangler. It also leaves the hair feeling incredibly soft and glossy. It’s also worth mentioning that the colour and damage defender spray is a favourite with my Mum. She has blonde coloured hair and this spray is great at protecting it’s colour and not letting the sun do any damage.
At the moment, I am obsessed with anything coconut scented. I absolutely love the Coco Loco range at Lee Stafford. I have used so many of the products from the range now including the shampoo and conditioner, dry shampoo and they also do a wide tooth comb which is one of my favourite comes. This wide tooth comb is perfect for when I am using the Dyson Airwrap. Also when I am wanting to brush through without loosing the curls.
Have you tried anything from the Lee Stafford Coco Loco range? Are you a sucker for anything coconut scented like me?
XOXO
