Where I’m Hoping to Travel in 2021

With the easing of restrictions in the UK, I’m feeling kind of hopeful for the rest of the year. I’m hoping that some UK Travel will be on the cards later this year but sadly, I think it will be a while until I get on an aeroplane. However, I think this is a great opportunity to explore the UK and potentially visit some places I’ve never been to and some old favourites. As it stands, from next week we are advised to travel locally but following the road map, hotels are looking to re-open on the 17th May. I’ve got a few ideas of places I want to visit this year so I thought I would share some of my provisional plans.

Where I'm Hoping to Travel in 2021

It’s been over a year since I visited London, I know a lot of people haven’t managed to visit our capital city. I’d love to take a trip down to London when restrictions have been lifted. I think London would be a great destination for a little trip for Stefan’s Birthday in August. We both love going away for our Birthday’s which are both in August and London would be great for enjoying a lot of foodie places. I’ve got my eye on a few pizza places, potentially visiting Hawksmoor (our favourite restaurant) and just exploring some of our favourite places in London such as Notting Hill and Greenwich. I’m not sure whether we would be able to get tickets but it would be great to visit the Warner Bros Harry Potter Studios too!

For the last three years now, we have visited the Lake District every Summer and fingers crossed, we will be visiting again in June. We have booked a gorgeous little cottage and can’t wait to spend a few days in the Cumbrian fresh air. I’m hoping we will be able to go on a few lovely walks, visit Hill Top Farm again and enjoy a few ice creams. The Little Ice Cream Shop in Hawkshead is a must-visit!

As I said, I love a good trip away for my Birthday and this year, I have been looking to visit Cornwall. Can you believe I’ve never actually ventured to this part of the country? I’m really keen to visit somewhere new and Cornwall looks like the dream. Cornwall is a long long way for us, probably an 8+ hours drive so we would potentially break up the journey by visiting somewhere like Bath on the way. We’re also looking to visit for just over a week so it’ll make the journey worth it and hopefully, we will get a few days on the beach in the sunshine.

Last year, we visited The Cotswolds and did an 8 Day Roadtrip around Scotland and they were wonderful trips to places I’d not been to before and it’s made me even keener to explore more of the UK. I’d love to explore more of Scotland, more of the isles up there and potentially even Wales as I’ve never been to Wales before either! I would love to go abroad but I don’t think it’s looking too likely. It’s also giving us the opportunity to save up for a big trip to Florida. In the meantime, I’m excited to explore the Great British Isles further. Don’t worry, I’ll be creating lots of content giving you ideas for British Staycations.

Do you have any travel plans for 2021?

XOXO
