My First Impressions of Glossier
I’ve got quite a few beauty posts coming your way. I’ve got to admit my beauty ban has not gone so well this past couple of weeks and I’m currently trying lots of exciting new products. So plenty of beauty content coming! For my birthday in August, Stefan (with my direction) picked up a few items from the Glossier website which I’ve been using the last couple of weeks. I did actually visit the Glossier pop-up shop in Covent Garden, London earlier this year where I compiled a huge wishlist which I was going to pick up in NYC but obviously that trip didn’t happen. The pop-up shop was actually amazing btw!

A few things to note; Glossier do free delivery on orders over £30 and it actually comes super quickly. You can also get 10% off your first order through this link. The order comes in a little pink pouch which can be used as a make-up bag and I also got a little sample and a sticker. On the Glossier website, they do a few different bundles which can save you some money. I went for The Emily Weiss set which is the CEO’s four favourite products for £50. It pretty much had the four products I was most interested in trying out whilst saving £16. I thought I would give my first impressions on whether the Glossier products really live up to the hype.

Boy Brow
The first item in the Emily Weiss set was Boy Brow which I’ve heard rave reviews about. As I’ve used Benefit’s Gimme Brow religiously for years, It felt good to switch things up. I got it in the shade Brown but it’s also worth mentioning they’ve just released an Auburn shade. So far, I absolutely love Boy Brow, it sets the brow in to place perfectly and you can see why this is a best seller. However, I have heard that Bow Brow can dry out quickly so I guess time will tell. Bought separately it’s £14 which is quite reasonable.
Lash Slik
I’ll quickly mention Lash Slik which is a mascara also part of the set. I actually haven’t used this product yet as I’ve had lash extensions since my birthday. It’s another product which has rave reviews so I can’t wait to try it, especially as I’m very picky with mascaras so I really hope I like it. Other than that, the packaging is super cute. Bought separately, this is also £14.

Futuredew Oil Serum
Moving on to the skincare in the set. The Futuredew Oil Serum is an interesting one. Futuredew is all about making you look super glowy. So you can wear this after your skincare routine, on top of your make-up or just by its self. I think it’s great for putting on to give you a healthy glow if you don’t want to wear any make-up. I do really like it as a product but I don’t really think it’s essential for me. Futuredew is £23 bought by itself.
Milky Jelly Cleanser
The final item in the Emily Weiss set is the Milky Jelly Cleanser. I’ve gotten on really well with this cleanser, my skin is left feeling amazing after using it. I’m not 100% keen on the scent but it’s nothing offensive. I would recommend this though if you are looking for a new gentle cleanser. This is £15 separately or you can get a mini version for £8 but you do get through it quite quickly!

Balm Dotcom
In addition to the set, I also got the Balm Dotcom in, of course, Birthday Cake. This lip balm has become a staple in my handbag and all my other lip products have become redundant. Not only does it smell/taste like Birthday Cake, but this balm is also super hydrating and works wonders on my lips. Some of the other flavours have a slight tint to them but I really want to try Cherry, Rose and Mango. Heck, I’ll take one of each.
Overall, I’m really pleased with my Glossier products. I’ll let you know how I get on with the mascara probably later in the month. Boy Brow and Balm Dotcom are both must-haves for me and even the Cleanser is worth investing in too. Remember you can get 10% off your first order here and it’s free shipping over £30. I’ll have to hold back for a while before doing another order but I really want to try the moisturiser and the sunscreen. Also, the perfume smells incredible!
Have you tried anything from Glossier before?

I have to admit when I first tried Glossier I wasn’t overly impressed with anything other than the cloud paints and the boy brow!
