It has been a while since my last beauty post, hasn’t it? I don’t tend to try a lot of new products so there’s not a lot of point going over my favourite items over and over again. I thought I’d do a general Summer beauty favourites to talk about the few products which have made their way into my make-up bag.
Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette
Would it even be a current beauty favourites post without including the Naked Heat Palette?! I’ve got to say, I’m a little bit in love. I got completely swept up in the hype over the new palette and ended up purchasing it on the highly anticipated pre-sale in June. I don’t really own a palette which is primarily warm, autumnal shades so I thought this would be great to have a play around. Like with all Urban Decay palettes, the shades are really pigmentated and apply really easily. I have to say, I think this is my favourite out of all the Naked Palettes.
MAC Prep & Prime Fix+
This product is a favourite for many beauty bloggers. I’ve had it in my collection for quite some time but never used it. MAC Fix+ can be used as a setting spray or I’ve been applying it to my eyeshadow brush to enhance and intensify metallic shades. It’s worked really well with the Naked Heat Palette on shades such as Lumbre and Scorched. I have no idea why I’ve not started using this before!
Revlon Ultra HD Lip Colour
I think these lipsticks have been around awhile but I’ve only just tried them out! I’ve got the shade 630 Seduction and it’s the perfect nude shade to wear on a daily basis. Although this is a matte lip colour, the product is so moisturising and lightweight. I’m definitely going to have to invest in some more shades!
Models Own Grand Finale Loose Powder
I’ve never really used many loose powders as I just use the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. After discovering the Models Own Grand Finale Loose Powder at their Leeds store opening earlier in the year, I’m officially converted. I do tend to remove the lid and place my Real Techniques Setting Brush straight into the powder. It sets my make-up perfectly and doesn’t flashback in photos.
Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara
This is actually my first Lancome mascara that I’ve tried and thoroughly impressed. I’ve not really been having much luck with mascara’s recently, everything I seem to try doesn’t really live up to my expectations. The Monsieur Big mascara is a good all rounder offering voluminous lashes which last all day. It’s become a firm favourite in my make-up bag.
What are your favourite Summer Beauty products? Have you got your hands on the Naked Heat Palette?
