It’s time for the penultimate Festive Gift Guide and today, it’s all about the ladies in your life. A couple of days, I did a Festive Gift Guide for the Beauty Lovers in your life but I’ve tried to cover everything else in today’s post. So whether you are looking for the ideal gift for your best friend, Auntie or your Mum – There should be something which catches your eye and would be perfect for them.
Starting off with one of my favourite gifts which is a bottle of Gin. How incredible does this Mermaid Gin look? Not only is the bottle stunning (and also made from recyclable materials) but the gin tastes pretty damn good too. Coming from the Isle of Wight’s only distillery, the blend features lemon zest, peppery notes and a tiny bit of sea air from the fragrant rock samphire foraged from the Isle of Wight’s Cliffs. This is also known locally as “Mermaid’s Kiss” which is where the gin’s name has come from. So magical and a Gin which will make a great gift. The gin is available from The Isle of Wight Distillery and a pink version is also on sale! I’ve also spotted the gin in Marks & Spencer, Harvey Nichols and John Lewis.
It’s always good to mention a few smellies in the gift guides. What lady doesn’t love some lovely fragrances or candles. As I mentioned in a previous gift guide, TK:Maxx is an absolute treasure trove of finding amazing presents for your loved ones. I picked up this trio of Zara Home Candles last week and they were only £4.99 and smell amazing. Although I did have someone in mind to gift these, I’ve decided to keep them for myself! I’d definitely have a little root around your local TK:Maxx as you can find some great presents at bargain prices.
I couldn’t mention candles without mentioning Yankee Candles. They really are the staple brand when it comes to candles. I believe this trio of small jar gift set is from Boots. You can, however, find Yankee Candles everywhere with a whole variety of gift sets. I don’t have a specific link to the giftset featured above but I’ve found a festive alternative here.
Another great idea for those who love their different scents is from a brand called Floral Street. All of their items are believe it or not, florally and they do all sorts from fragrances, candles and bath products. They have a huge selection of perfumes which you can buy full-size bottles of there is a Floral Street Discovery Set which includes a variety of all the floral scents they have so you can try them all.
Although I do love my candles, I am more of a reed diffuser person. Mainly because you don’t have to worry about flames and the scent is stronger for longer. There are some amazing Reed Diffuser sets from MOR who specialise in fine and home fragrances. This MOR Emporium gift set which is the Blood Orange scent is gorgeous and would look amazing on a mantlepiece. My Mum would absolutely love this set and it would make a great gift.
I’ve still included a few beauty items which would fall under the self-care category. I don’t know about you but I love painting my nails and I’m forever buying new shades. I love seeing all the Christmas gift sets including some festive shades. Mavala has got some great gift sets out at the moment including this one featuring some lovely pink shades. This would be a perfect gift for your Mum or Auntie!
I always find myself in The Body Shop when I’m looking for Christmas presents. Last year, I bought a few of their Body Butters which you could personalise with names in-store. It was a great concept and also the personalisation was complimentary! You can never go wrong with their hand creams, I always have one in my handbag and it would also make a great stocking filler. Shea Butter and Coconut are my favourites!
Ted Baker has also got some lovely gift sets out at the moment. For a few years now, I’ve picked up some of their little sets featuring the mini perfumes. This year, they have brought out a trio of perfumes and matching lipglosses. What I love about this set is that you could gift all three in the trio or separate them for stocking fillers.
Of course, I’ve got to add a piece of jewellery into this Festive Gift Guide. This beautiful necklace is from the Estee Lalondé collection with Daisy London. Her collection is absolutely stunning and there are so many gorgeous pieces. The necklace is the sterling silver unity ring, the chains a little bit longer than usual so can be worn stacked with another piece. Jewellery always makes for a lovely and thoughtful gift but this collection would be ideal for your best friend, sister and those who are fans of Estee!
Wine is a gift which usually goes down very well with the ladies, I’m talking literally. South Africa House of Wine is the UK’s only dedicated retailer selling exclusively South African wines including the Fairview Sauvignon Blanc. South Africa is one of the best places in the world for producing wine so it’s great that there is a dedicated business and it’s perfect for stocking up on the vino for Christmas or gifting your loved ones.
I’m sure you will have all seen the Mrs Hinch phenomenon which has swept the nation. Who knew that I would get interested in cleaning?! One of her trusted cleaning tools is the Minky Cleaning Pad. I know it isn’t the prettiest of gifts but it’s practical and there’s also a snowflake version which has come out too! I actually think it would make a great stocking filler for those who love hinching!
UGG boots certainly are a classic item which makes a great present. I was actually kindly gifted this pair by Jake Shoes which you might have seen them feature in my Black Friday Blogpost. Although the Black Friday promotion is no longer running, I wanted to feature these in my Gift Guide as they have been glued to my feet. It’s like walking on soft clouds and my feet are very toasty. In my opinion, they would make a great gift this Christmas or alternatively, check out the UGG slippers to wear around the house!
We’ve only got one more Gift Guides to go and that is Tasty Treats for Stocking Fillers. Who doesn’t love Festive Foodie treats?
