DUO’s Blogger Event!

Last night i attended DUO‘s Blogger event held in their fitting room in Covent Garden. I entered their #FITFORFESTIVEFASHION campaign (see the entry here) recently and the winner was revealed at last night’s event! The store is in St.Martins Courtyard which is such a lovely little shopping place. I met up with Abi from A Floral Crown beforehand and we bobbed along to the event. When we got there all of our entries were framed and on a table, it was lovely to get a chance to see everyone’s dream party outfit and i mentally added a few items on my shopping list!
After mingling and nibbles, we all gathered round to hear talks from Cosmo writer Laura Puddy and Head Designer of DUO Jem McNulty. They both spoke about their experiences in the industry and their favourite trends and pieces from the collection. It was so interesting hearing their tips and advice for trying to break into the industry and coming from such successful women in the business! We also had a little Q&A session where we found out more information about the process of designing the collection and where the inspiration comes from.
The whole evening was lovely and to top it off i was a runner up in the competition and received some beautiful flowers! The lovely Aimee won the big prize of her dream outfit and to style the christmas windows – Go check out her amazing post!
