My Five Mac Cosmetics Must Haves
MAC Cosmetics has always been a favourite of mine since my mid-teens. I think it was probably a lipstick which was my first MAC purchase. I’m convinced it was one of the Viva Glam Nicki Minaj ones in a really obscene pink shade which was slightly OTT. Ever since then, the cosmetics brand has been a staple in my make-up collection ever since. I thought I would share with you five of my must-have products which, to be honest, I couldn’t live without. MAC Cosmetics is stocked in all sorts of places but I’ve recently got a few bits from Notino.co.uk who have a variety of products on their website.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle
Starting off with the latest addition to my collection. MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle is one of those cult beauty blogger favourites which has been around for years. However, it’s only taken me until now to finally try it for myself and I can honestly say it’s the best highlighter and I’ve tried ALOT of highlighters. I’m not saying that this one will be the only one I wear from now on but I think it’s a great universal shade and it’s not too over the top and has no large speckles of sparkle which you might find in others. I think it just gives your cheekbones a gentle glow and I’m thrilled to now have it in my make-up bag.

MAC Fix+
Another cult favourite but this one is a product I’ve been using for years. MAC Fix+ is a great product to use to with eye shadow to intensify shades or to set your make-up. Fix+ is so hydrating and I find that it helps with making my make-up look last longer. I love that you can also purchase them with different scents which I’m yet to try but they sound amazing.

MAC Prep + Prime Primer
I find it really hard to find a primer which I feel like is making a difference to my skin. My all-time favourite one is the Hourglass primer but it’s very expensive! The next best thing is the MAC Prep+Prime Primer which almost has a mousse consistency and I find it really helps calm my skin before applying foundation. I’m not going to lie, the primer is quite glittery so it does give you a glow. If you use your fingers to apply, it’s quite messy as you’ll have little speckles everywhere. The great thing about this product is that a little will go a long way and it will take forever (two years) for you to use the whole bottle.

MAC Matte Lipsticks
As I said before, a Lipstick was my first purchase from MAC. For most people, it was their large range of incredible lipstick shades that drew them to the brand. Over the years, I’ve purchased quite the collection but there’s nothing like their matte range. Ruby Woo is the perfect red shade and a complete staple item in my make-up bag. Honey Love is another which is always in my make-up bag and a great nude shade to wear every day.

MAC Blush in Melba
I think I’ve probably spoken about this a lot in my beauty posts but I’ve not really got any interest in blushers. I’ve never been one for wearing it on a daily basis and when it came to choosing a shade, I wouldn’t know where to start. I randomly picked up a MAC Blush in the shade Melba from Notino.co.uk a couple of months ago and it’s actually turned out to be a fantastic peachy shade which works so well with my skin tone. It’s nothing too over the top but it love the subtle hint of colour it gives me.
Are you a big fan of MAC Cosmetics?
XOXO
