January is the perfect time to start planning a few trips throughout the year. As soon as Christmas is over I’m in full planning mode. I thought I would share what I’ve got planned for the next couple of months in 2019. January is always a slow one but I was determined to make a few little plans for the first month of 2019. I’ve currently just been on a little trip to London for a couple of days. You might have seen my UK Travel Bucket list and I included Oxford which I visited yesterday! I’ll most likely be writing all about my trip in another blog post but I really loved Oxford! Last weekend, I also enjoyed a luxury break at Saltmarshe Hall near Howden in North Yorkshire. I’ll also be doing a whole blog post on that trip very soon.
Next weekend, I’ll be heading to Leicestershire to the Champneys Springs Resort with Red Letter Days. I’m so excited as I’ve never been on a proper spa retreat and it’ll be a lovely pre-valentines day break for Stefan and I. I’ve just been sent a list of activities, classes and treatments on offer at Champneys and they sound amazing. I think I’m going to come back feeling like another woman.
In February, me and my Mum always try and book a little city break somewhere. It’s kind of turned into a tradition as it’s now been six years! We actually haven’t booked it yet but we’ve decided to go over to Dublin for a couple of days. I’ve never been to Ireland before so it’ll be a first for me! We are hoping to go in a couple of weeks time so I best start doing a little bit of research so I can make the most of the trip. Flights from the UK start from around £8 which is amazing. I know it’s not far but I can barely get a train fare for that price these days!
Last night, we booked a very exciting multi-city trip for March. I always love going back to the cities I love such as Amsterdam and Barcelona but I think it’s time to explore some new places. This is why we’ve booked to go to Bratislava in March and we will also be visiting Vienna and Budapest. All three cities aren’t too far away from each other whether that’s via bus or train. We will be going for a whole week and looking to split our time between each place but probably will spend 3-4 nights in Budapest as I’ve found some incredibly cheap and dreamy looking Air B&B’s. Austria, Slovakia and Hungary are all countries both Stefan and I haven’t visited before. Budapest has been on my list of places to visit for such a long time.
I think it’s appeared in many travel wishlists of mine and I’m so excited to finally visit. The Thermal Baths are one of must do’s on my itinerary but I can’t wait to explore the city. The architecture of Budapest looks incredible from Fisherman’s Bastion and the Parliment Building.
Finally, the last trip I have planned is at the end of April to Rhodes. I’ve actually been to Rhodes when I was a child and I’ve wanted to re-visit for the longest time. We’ve found an incredible 5* spa all-inclusive deal which was too good to ignore. Rhodes is such a beautiful island and I can’t wait to spend a week exploring and relaxing. A trip to Lindos is definitely on the cards, as I vividly remember it from my trip when I was 7.
The start of the year is already shaping up to be pretty amazing travel-wise already. In Summer, we are still hoping to do a road trip around Scotland which I spoke about in my UK Travel Bucketlist. I’m also hoping to be able to squeeze a cheeky Disneyland Paris trip – I just can’t keep away! I’m also saving to go back to America so that might happen before Christmas! As always, I’ll be keeping you updated with all my trips! If you have any recommendations for any of the places recommends, do let me know.
Do you have any trips booked for 2019?
