Father’s Day Scents with Fragrance Direct
With Father’s Day just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about the perfect present for the man in your life. Whether it’s your Dad, Grandpa, Uncle or Partner, you know the one thing that will go down a treat; a brand new scent! This weekend will be a busy one as it’s not only Father’s Day on Sunday but it’s my Dad’s Birthday on Saturday. I’ve teamed up with Fragrance Direct to give him a few new scents to celebrate his big weekend.
Usually, I find it really difficult buying gifts for him as he is rather fussy. I have to spend weeks asking what he wants and it either ends up being a CD or a DVD. He was actually over the moon when I gave him this surprise bundle of aftershaves. I actually enlisted his help for this blogpost so you can hear a man’s perspective on each fragrance.
First up, we have Eau De Lacoste L.12.12 Magnetic. I believe this is a fairly recently released fragrance which has a fresh and fruity take on the original Lacoste scent. There are notes of Wormwood, Juniper, Bamboo and Amber in this fragrance which comes in their very recognisable Lacoste bottles.
Dad’s Verdict: Although my Dad isn’t really a fan of Tennis, he does love a good Lacoste Polo shirt which is the main inspiration behind this fragrance. He really loved this fresh scent and thought it would be great to wear on a daily basis. He was also a fan of the blue sleek bottle design and embroidered little crocodile that the brand Lacoste is so well known for.
Davidoff Coolwater is certainly a favourite amongst a lot of gentleman. You’ll most likely have seen the advert on the TV with a hunky male frolicking about with the fragrance but this is actually the first time I had smelt it. This is a really great option as it’s not too expensive yet smells really great with fresh mint, lavendar and musky notes.
Dad’s Verdict:
My Dad didn’t say too much about this scent as he had previously tried Davidoff Coolwater so he was already a fan. He did think this would be perfect to wear on holiday as it’s quite a fresh and cool.
Finally we have Joop! WOW! which I personally think is such a classy scent and would be perfect for special occasions. Although the bottle was quite simple, I thought it was really classic and had a luxurious touch. Joop! has such a great range of scents for Men and Wow! is no different with a combination of bergamot, geranium and vanilla notes.
Dad’s Verdict: Joop! WOW! was definitly my Dad’s favourite out of all the scents. In fact, he kept saying “Oh Wow!” so it certaintly made an impression and he thought he was hilarious joking about the name. He’s been wearing this scent ever since I’ve given it to him but he did say he would most likely reserve this for best.

I have been thinking of getting some perfume for my husband. My daughter has already bought him a Father’s Day present, I think we’ll have to wait for Christmas since he’s just had his birthday.
The advert for Joop! WOW on telly at the moment make us laugh however my daddy’s favourite is Davidoff Coolwater and it’s a real summer smell. He’s been wearing it for years and can vouch for the quality x

These sound like some absolutely fantastic scents, if you know your Dad is a great fan of scents these are most definitely great ideas as gifts.

Some great ideas if you have a man in your life that will wear fragrance. My husband doesn’t need aftershave as he is bearded and happy to use whatever comes to hand for showering.

Hahah your Dad sounds like mine! I love Joop Wow and currently all over Creed but it’s expensive!
Lacoste and Davidoff’s cool water is a favorite too. Never tried to buy Joop Wow for Dad but I can consider this as a new scent to introduce to him.
