Style Guide: What to Wear in Marbella

February 8, 2017

As we are stuck in this cold winter, I can’t help but think about jetting off for a bit of sunshine. The Costa del Sol has been a popular destination for our family holidays over the years. Marbella is quite literally a hotspot for sun, sea and style with millions of Brits flocking to Spain.

If you’re planning to party in Puerto Banus this year, here’s what you should pack to stand out in the style stakes, courtesy of designer footwear retailer Daniel Footwear:

Poolside at Ocean Beach Club

If you are heading to Marbella, you need to get poolside at VIP party at Ocean Beach Club. Not only do you get incredible views of the coast, you can soak up the sunshine rays whilst sipping champagne! DJs create a chilled vibe during the day, before cranking up the party atmosphere come evening. The first event of the season is at the April with the White & Silver Opening Party.

It’s all about the glamour at the Ocean Beach Club, especially when it comes to your dress code. When it comes to your bikini or swimsuit, either keep it monochrome in all-black or white or create a statement with a bold print. I personally would probably go for an all-black ensemble for sitting poolside and accessorize with an elegant kaftan. An embellished cover-up, statement jewellery and a sassy pair of sunglasses like my Tom Ford Nastasya’s would really bring your look together.

Let’s not forget about your shoes. Your standard flip-flops will not cut it and it’s the perfect occasion to go all out with a pair of gorgeous wedges or a pair of embellished sandals.

A night out with the girls

When it’s time to party in the evening with your girl’s at some of Marbella’s exclusive cocktail bars and nightclubs, you’ll need to be looking your best. I love dressing up and making a special effort whilst on holiday but a night out in Marbella requires you to get glam on. Whether you’re partying under the stars at Pangea’s rooftop terrace or dancing the night away at Funky Buddha, it’s important to get your evening look just right.

There’s no such thing as going casual for a night out in Marbella. Leave your laidback shorts and flats behind! Bring a choice of fabulous dresses, I usually go for a maxi dress which is perfect for the Marbella heat.

Date Night at La Sala

If you’re in Marbella with your other half, go for the perfect date night at one of the top restaurants. La Sala is a fine dining experience not to miss with their incredible menu and selection of steaks. La Sala is definitely a hotspot in Marbella and a place to be seen in your finest outfits. ODs Designer Clothing has so many designer options which would be perfect from Hugo Boss shirts for him to Vivienne Westwood Earrings for her.

Shopping in Puerto Banus

Take a break for sunbathing and all the partying with an afternoon of shopping in Puerto Banus. You’ll be spoilt for choice with all the designer boutiques such as Hermes, Jimmy Choo, Versace and Dior. It’s basically a shopaholic’s paradise! Whether you are looking to pick up a new outfit or just window shopping, it’s equally important to get your shopping look right for browsing the boutiques. Swim and Beachwear should certainly be left behind in favour for a more appropriate daytime look.

Marbella certainly is the hottest destination for a sartorial queen who loves to shop, party and relax in the sunshine. No matter what you are doing in Marbella, it’s essential your glam game is strong. You can’t go far wrong with some statement jewels, designer shades and a chic embellished kaftan!
