Festive Gift Guide: For Dogs

Festive Gift Guide 2023: For Dogs

Welcome to the fourth Festive Gift Guide of 2024 and it’s a brand new category for me. Since the arrival of Walter; our miniature dachshund our lives have revolved around him. When it comes to Christmas, it’s pretty much revolving around him too. So that’s why I thought I’d do a Festive Gift Guide: For Dogs. Other Dog Pawrents can get some ideas of whats out there. And trust me, there’s SO much out there! Doggy beer, wine popcorn, Pupcakes – the list goes on! Here’s a few of my top picks of the best gifts for dogs this Christmas.

Starting off with a few items from Doodlebone which are the home to colourful dog accessories. They have everything from harnesses, collars, leads and blankets. Walter (above) is modelling the Adjustable Airmesh harness in red which has reflective stitching and piping for dark walks. The fit was mega comfortable and made really well. Also from Doodlebone which would make a great gift is the ultra snuggly Faux Fur Blanket. If you’re a dog parent, you’ll know the limit does not exist when it comes to how many blankets is too many. This blanket is so soft and warm. It’s certainly got Walters approval.

Festive Gift Guide: For Dogs - Tog24 Festive Gift Guide: For Dogs - Tog24

Tog24 is always a firm favourite when it comes to Christmas gifts. I actually had no idea they did so much for dogs. You can even buy matching coats! Walters wearing the Port Col Block Padded Jacket in S which hindsight is a little bit too big for him but there’s growing room. You can match your dog with with the Bowburn Jacket – how adorable?! There’s also a few Dog Toys on Tog24 which are so cute. Tog24 is actually a Yorkshire based brand so you can’t get more fitting than the Puppa Cuppa!

Festive Gift Guide: For Dogs - Nylabone

Most toys won’t last long around Walter unfortunately. We currently have around 30+ toys that need sewing up! So the best thing for Walter is a good bone or chew. Nylabone is a great brand which have a range of things that have worked so well with Walter. We’ve been buying them from there since he was little and he loves them. It’s an excellent stocking filler for your dog and they even have different flavours (but don’t smell!).

Festive Gift Guide: For Dogs - Cocopup Festive Gift Guide: For Dogs - Cocopup

As we’re getting into the colder months, I’ve really stepped up Walters fashion game with jackets and harnesses. I’m obsessed with this Cocopup Aviator Jacket which you can buy in a several colour-ways. I’ve also picked up a matching collar which goes lovely. Cocopup has some gorgeous designs and collections. I’m obsessed with the Navy Velvet collection with Stars, he’s got the bowties and they’ll look so cute at Christmas. I also need to mention the personalised Jute Bags which we’ve got for Walter & keep all his things in if he’s going on a day out. Cocopup always have discounts going on so keep an eye out for a coupon!

Festive Gift Guide: For Dogs - Pawsome Paws Boutique

I also wanted to pick up a proper festive harness for the festive season. This would make for an excellent gift pre-Christmas! The Pawsome Paws Boutique have some amazing designs. In fact, we have several harnesses from there now, and they’ve all been excellent fitting and quality. I got the Gingerbread Latte design, which is just too cute! They’ve got this in a few different colours and also sell blankets and other accessories with this design.

Another present which really needs to be given to your pup pre-Christmas is of course, an advent calendar. I’ve seen a few different dog advent calendars, but decided on the Pooch & Mutt Cheese Fondue Calendar. There’s 24 cheese treats behind each door, and I think this will go down well with Walter. Pooch & Mutt also do a luxury dental stick advent calendar. Along with the advent calendar, I picked up a ski-sonal gift box which included dental sticks, meaty treats, wet food and poo bags. I thought this was a great little selection box to be enjoyed over Christmas.  Festive Gift Guide: For DogsFestive Gift Guide: For DogsI also want to mention some of the toys I’ve picked up recently. Primark had some fabulous character toys from Star Wars, Disney and even The Grinch. Of course, I picked up a Baby Yoda for £5. I’m not sure how long this will last in the hands of Walter, but I was really impressed with the selection. TK:Maxx is another go-to place when it comes to picking up toys. I picked up a gingerbread man toy, which was originally from the brand Zippy Paws.

Festive Gift Guide: For Dogs - Dog Beer

I am loving that you can buy Beer for Dogs. If Christmas isn’t the time to give your dog beer then when is?! The brand Bottom Sniffer (ha!) is stocked in Sainbury’s with this Beer for Dogs and it comes with a little tie for your dog! This can also be bought as a single bottle from Pets at Home, Lords & Labradors and Woof&Brew.

Festive Gift Guide: For Dogs - Pedigree

I also thought it would be a good idea to share literally all of the treats I’ve picked up recently, which have a Christmas theme. It’s safe to say we aren’t short of Christmas treats in our household. They make such good stocking fillers for pups, though! I picked up in B&M a stocking full of treats and a cracker from Pedigree. These selection boxes include a variety of different tasty minis, dental sticks and more! They were pretty cheap, too!

Finally, I also picked up a few other Christmas treats from Wagg, Pooch & Mutt and Sainbury’s. Wagg is sold in B&M, Pets at Home, Asda and there is a huge variety of different festive flavours. I am loving that Sainsbury’s currently have a Pigs in Blanket treat.

If you are planning on spoiling your dogs this Christmas, it’s safe to say you won’t be short of ideas! I think Walter could end up being the most spoilt in the family this year! Don’t forget to check out the other Festive Gift Guides:
