Luxury Bedding on a Budget

As you will have probably seen, Stefan and I have just bought out first house together. We’ve been here for just over two months and we’re super lucky that not a lot actually needs doing to it. I did write a blogpost on our future plans for the house here but for now, we’ve not done too much. It’s just a case of doing up each room to our own style and putting a stamp on it. One of the rooms which we aren’t going to be touching for a while is the bedroom. Whilst I do have plans for the future about what I would like doing with it. For now, we’re trying to put our own mark on the room without spending a fortune.

I’ve teamed up with DUSK who sell all sorts of bedding, bedspreads, throws and even mattresses! They are a British brand who have some gorgeous pieces which can really give your bedroom a designer feel on a budget. I thought I would share what I’ve picked up and spoiler alert, I’m a huge fan of this bedding. The bed linen set which I picked up was the Mayfair Duvet set in white. Inspired by London luxury hotels, this Egyptian cotton sateen set is honestly so soft and silky. We’ve not had a set like it before! We got the Oxford Style Mayfair pillow cases to match the Duvet Cover and both had a matching embodied white cord.

I opted for the white embroidery, however it does come in grey, dark grey and black. I wanted to keep things plain for now as I said we aren’t doing anything major with our bedroom so I knew white would always go. In the future (hopefully not too far in the future), we’ll be getting a new bed and I’m not 100% set on what colour so white is best for now.

I really think that adding a bedspread to your bed can really add that extra bit of luxe to the bedroom. To tell you the truth, I’ve never really had a bedspread throw before and it’s instantly made our bed look so much more luxury. The bedspread that I went for was the Vienna Bedspread in Champagne. I thought it was such a gorgeous colour and would go with so many duvet covers. It’s pretty huge! This feels so luxury too as it’s got a satin finish. I think I’m going to get some matching pillows as I think that would really make it come together a little more nicely. Especially whilst we wait to buy a new bed!

The best thing about the bedding is that they are really reasonably priced and great if you are looking for luxury bedding on a budget. They have some amazing offers on at the moment and it really is such high quality at affordable prices. Now we’ve got this sateen finish on the duvet cover, there is no way I’ll be going back now!
