Festive Gift Guide 2021: For Little Ones

I’m back with my final Gift Guide of 2021. This time it’s for the little ones and I *try* and cover most ages. I say this every year, I don’t have children of my own but I have plenty of nieces and nephews therefore the majority of my Christmas shopping list is usually for little ones. This is the main reason I still do a gift guide for children as I’m sure there are so many people in the same boat as me.

Starting off with the ultimate classic game which is actually fun for all the family, Monopoly! This is a new spin on the well-loved classic, its Monopoly Cash Decoder! The aim of the game is to find the fake cash being used in the game with a decoder. A perfect game for Christmas Day and I’m sure it’ll get as competitive as the classic game gets! However, I’d say this is probably better for children a little older who are familiar with the original game. The box advises it’s ideal for those aged 8 and above.

Another Classic but a Disney Classic is Winnie the Pooh. I can’t not do a Festive Gift Guide for Little Ones without including a few Disney bits. Winnie the Pooh is perfect for both little boys and girls and you can get the most adorable soft toys from the Disney Store. To go with the characters, I’ve picked up a Winnie the Pooh Helps the Bees storybook which would be an excellent bedtime book. It’s also slightly educational with a nod to the importance of Buzy Bees! I also NEED to mention the Winnie The Pooh: Once There was a Bear prequel which is in celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the well-loved bear.

Surprise Surprise, I’ve got another Disney addition to the Festive Gift Guide! Toy Story is another iconic movie that still remains ever so popular through the generations. Personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with the classic Toy Story characters as presents. I didn’t even know that you could get a talking alien which I think is amazing and would be a perfect addition if you already have Woody and Jessie!

If you can’t buy sweets for little ones at Christmas then when can you? Christmas is the perfect time to have a little treat! Haribo has released some fun limited edition packs of their well-loved sweets. They are perfect for stocking fillers or just adding in a gift bag as a little something extra. Who doesn’t love a pack of Haribos?

I also wanted to mention NOMO Chocolate as they’ve also got some excellent Christmas products this year. NOMO product choccies which are vegan friendly and free from dairy, gluten, eggs and nuts. I think these are perfect if your little one has any intolerances and they won’t feel like they are missing out at Christmas.

My Squishy Little Dumplings are such a fun little stocking filler for kids. Who can resist the squishies?! These palm-sized toys are interactive when you squeeze their cheeks and they have over 50 reactions. I think these are super fun, and I wouldn’t be surprised if these become a top craze!

We all know I love a good, fun family game to play on Christmas Day. Pass the Pud is another excellent game that would make a great present to break open on Christmas Day and play after lunch. This game is aimed at older children aged 8 and over, as it’s pretty fast-paced. Answer the questions and solve the clues before the timer (the pud) burps! It’s certainly a game that could get heated if you are in a competitive family, but lots of fun all around—another great stocking filler.

Jacques of London is a one-stop shop for all the family, from toddlers to adults; there’s something for everyone. From games, intricate chess sets to wooden toys perfect for little ones. I’ve been looking at toys for 4 year olds as I’ve got a few nieces and nephews around that age and found the Wooden Dinosaur Car Park and the Kids Construction Bench. Wooden toys are just a classic timeless piece but these both promise hours of fun! Can we take a moment to discuss how beautifully the toys come wrapped in a box and bow? I know kids won’t appreciate this detail but adults will be thankful they don’t need to wrap these gifts!

Finally, we have the Fourfit Mini which is a fitness watch for youngsters. This gift is aimed at older children going on teenagers and would make a great little present. It’s affordable and includes a multitude of features such as sleep alarms, heart rate tracking, sleep tracking and of course, tracks your fitness. This watch can also connect to your phone, which is a great feature. As I said this is more tailored to teenagers and is a good way of staying active.
