Breakfast at Tiffany’s at The Blue Box Cafe, Harrods
Breakfast at Tiffany’s has been my dream for the longest time. As one of my favourite movies and brands, I was desperate to visit The Tiffany Blue Box Cafe. The Cafe was actually in the iconic NYC 5th Avenue store for a while before heading across the Atlantic to Harrods in London. Following my NYC trip in November, we actually booked breakfast here the day after landing back into London. You have to book in advance and the bookings are apparently released on the 2nd of every month for the following two months. My advice is just to keep checking the reservations system.

Our booking at The Blue Box Cafe was for 9.30am which is actually before Harrods opens at 11am. I had no idea about this so we rocked up with no idea how to get in. It turns out will have to enter via a private entrance on the Hans Road side of the store. As soon as you arrive, everything is just quintessentially typical Tiffany & co. with even Tiffany blue planters outside. We headed downstairs to the actual cafe where we were greeted and had our coats taken.
The Cafe itself is just a Tiffany & Co dream. I was honestly in my element. The cafe’s interior was spot on with some incredible jewels adorning the walls in cabinets. The Blue Box Cafe serves both Breakfast, Afternoon Tea and now also dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. I believe just before Christmas which is when we visited, the afternoon tea was actually festive themed. We opted for Breakfast which included three courses, unlimited juices and a hot drink for £45pp. If you are looking to have a glass of champagne with your breakfast, it’s £65pp.

There’s quite the extensive tea selection, my mum went for the standard breakfast English tea. I don’t actually drink tea or coffee but they were super accommodating and got me a hot chocolate. I’ll admit it wasn’t the best one I’ve had and didn’t compare to the ones I’ve had upstairs in the Harrods Cafe. Alongside our hot drinks, we both had freshly squeezed fresh orange juice which was topped up quite a few times during our visit.
You might be wondering what a three course breakfast consists of. To start off with we had a seasonal fruit bowl each with a selection of fruits infused in a lime and mint syrup. Our selection of fruit included melon, strawberries, raspberries and mandarin orange. Alongside our fruit selection, we were served what would be our second course which was “Croissant Box’. In the shape of the famous Tiffany’s box, this croissant was incredible. We had the option of it being filled with Strawberry Jam, Chocolate Crémeux and Lemon Curd. I had the chocolate one and my Mum got the lemon curd. Let me tell you, these are incredible.

It was then time for the Main dish and we had both gone for the New York Style Pancakes which were served with a dusting of peppercorn sugar, strawberries, vanilla cream and maple syrup. My mum got a side of bacon which was £7 for two rashers. These pancakes were on another level, they were like cakes! The three courses were enough to make us full to the brim. I’ve also got to mention the attentive service we received, nothing was too much trouble and they were very accommodating.
Having Breakfast at Tiffany’s really was a dream come true, the whole experience was superb and the food was spot on. I know it’s quite an expensive breakfast but it’s not something you’d do every week. Personally, we thought it was worth the money and 100% would visit again. It would be lovely for a special occasion or just a treat for yourself but I’d certainly recommend it if you are looking to book.
