I’m sure by now, you’ll know I’m a big fan of a G&T. Up until about 18 months ago, I wasn’t really a Gin drinker but it’s really a trend which has captured the nation and swooped me up in it too. The different types of Gins you can pick up at the moment is incredible. Over the last couple of months, I’ve been working with Studio.co.uk (you can read more here) and I’ve partnered up with them to talk about my typical cosy night in featuring… Gin, of course!
When I spotted the Unicorn Tears Gin* on the Studio.co.uk, I was pretty intrigued. According to the website this Gin Liqueur is a mythical spirit actually made from the tears of humanely raised real life Unicorns. So I mean, that’s pretty special, right?! I do like quite a fruity and sweet flavoured gin which is why this one caught my attention. The gin is flavoured with citrus fruits, juniper berries and has vague notes of liquorice. The Gin also features a glittery finish which makes your drink a little bit more special. I think the whole concept is pretty amazing and you can now buy a Raspberry version of the Unicorn Tears Gin and also a Mermaid Tears Vodka.
For a cosy night in watching movies, I’ve been using the Unicorn Tears Gin for a little cocktail with my Personalised Unicorn Glass*. I thought I’d share my little recipe, it’s nothing too special and very simple but I’m a big fan of it and if you’re a fruity and sweet gal like myself, this one could for be for you. You’ll need:
I’m not a HUGE tonic fan which is why I’ve used Rose Lemonade. However, I’ve also found that the Fentimans Grapefruit Tonic goes really well with this gin too. I’ve also of course, added even more edible glitter because I don’t believe that there is ever too much glitter. Especially in the lead up to the Festive season. I’m going to try out a few other things with this gin. I think you could make some really Festive drinks playing up the citrus notes.
Once I’ve made a few cocktails, it’s time to get settled in my super cosy Faux Fur Eskimo Onesie* which is seriously so soft and at the moment, I’m basically living in it. I’ve never been a onesie person. I certainly wouldn’t be able to sleep in one but this is perfect for lounging about in and having a cosy night in. I can’t even tell you how soft it is! I’ve always got the same sort of selection for my girly movie night-in which involves Mean Girls, The Devil Wears Prada, The Princess Diaries and Crazy, Stupid, Love. We are now heading into the Christmas period though so you best believe that Love Actually, The Holiday and Elf is coming out!
How do you spend your cosy nights in? Are you a big fan of Gin? Do you want to try the Unicorn Tears Gin?
