Mark Hill Ellipse Wand Review

I have religiously been using Mark Hill electronics for the past couple of years. I try and not use heat on my hair too much to avoid unnecessary damage and I’m also really lucky that my hair isn’t too wild on mornings. If I am wanting soft curls, I will use the Sexy Waves and Curls Wand which I absolutely love but I think it’s pretty old and isn’t sold anymore. I was recently sent the Mark Hill Ellipse Wand so I’ve been testing this one over the past couple of weeks to see how it fairs up.

 Mark Hill Ellipse Wand*

The Ellipse Wand promises to give you different waves every time to create a soft tousled waves. The barrel shape is nothing like I’ve used before so I was very intrigued by it and how my hair would curl. So the wand came with gloves which were helpful to avoid burning your fingers and also a little stand for whilst it’s warming up or cooling down. The wand heats up to 200 degrees, the only problem is that there is no indication when it’s heated up or nowhere to adjust the heat.

The wand heated up pretty quickly and curling my hair was super easy, it took about 15 to 20 minutes which is pretty standard for the amount of hair that I have. The only problem which I had with the shape of the wand was that once my hair was wrapped around the wand it was slipping off the end a lot. The curls were larger than if I was using the Sexy Waves and Curls Wand which is a pretty standard shaped wand. As I have pretty long hair, I need a wand that can create curls which will really stay in place without dropping after half an hour and I was really impressed that they held up all day with just a little assistance of hairspray!

Overall, I really did like the Ellipse Wand for creating curls larger and a little different to my usual curling wand. I may be a little biased as I do love Mark Hill electronics but this is definitely worth the purchase if you are wanting that look. I’ve never had any problems with Mark Hill products and I’m glad this one didn’t disappoint me.

Have you tried anything from Mark Hill? What Curling Wand do you use?

XOXO
