New York City 2012 – Day 3

Day 3 in New York was purely the main shopping day, I bought so much! There isn’t too many photo’s of today as i basically was in and out of different shops all day. The day started when my Grandma and I caught the subway to Soho. We ended up on Canal Street and then walked up Broadway. The first shop we ended up in was called Necessary Clothing and i’d heard a lot about this online from some Youtube hauls. I ended up trying on loads and they even had JC fake Lita’s for $15! I would have bought some but it would have took too much suitcase space up. I went in Soho’s Bloomingdales, Victoria’s Secret and Pink, Sephora, Hollister, Brandy Melville and Steve Madden – I did make some purchases and all will be revealed in my Haul..

Victoria’s Secret in Soho.
Not the best picture but this is me inside Tiffany’s with a purchase which my mum got me for my Birthday!
After Soho we headed back to 5th Avenue and met my Mum who had been on a Sopranoes Tour (Which was amazing apparently if you are a fan) We headed to Tiffany’s and my Mum bought me my Birthday Present! We then headed to Bloomingdale’s which was quite close by and i thought this was an amazing store (better than Macy’s). We also stopped off at Dylan’s Candy Bar Store – which is actually owned by Ralph Lauren’s Daughter and then had my photo took outside of Serendipity (Which is on my Instagram – @Rachhhh_xo)

Anyone seen that Episode of Gossip Girl where they take Georgina to the Russian Tea Room to do a deal for them and Serena ends up getting arrested outside?! This is it and it was right across from our hotel!

For dinner we went to a Forrest Gump themed resturant in the centre of Times Sqaure, It was really cool and had an amazing view of Times Square and the food and service was pretty good. We got asked Forrest Gump trivia questions too and although i really like the film i was useless. Afterwards we had booked to go see Mary Poppins the Musical and I’m pretty sure we had the best seats in the house on the front row of the first balcony. The show was amazing although the cast were American with terrible English accents and it didn’t follow the storyline of the movie. At the end Mary Poppins flew off the stage and over the crowd and directing in front of us, Literally half a metre away!

The rest of the night was spent shopping in Times Square. It was a pretty tiring day even though we practically just shopped all day.

I’ll probably do Day 4 on Monday and a NYC Instagram post tommorow.
