Travel: The Cavendish Hotel, London

Before Christmas, My Mum and I took our annual Pre-Christmas trip to London and we managed to bag a pretty sweet deal on Superbreak which included our rail tickets and a stay at The Cavendish Hotel. The hotel is literally just behind Fortnum & Mason’s on Jermyn Street, just off Picadilly and round the corner from The Ritz. I found it was a really great base as it was a short walk to Oxford St and Regent St for shopping, close to Hyde Park for Winter Wonderland and the Green Park tube station was five minutes away.

On arrival, we were greeted by a couple of members of staff who took care of our luggage and we checked-in without any problems and our room was available to go to straight away. The concierge was really helpful and offered to book taxi’s, shows and even arrange restaurant reservations. We had requested quite a high room as I’d seen online that there was some stunning view of London from the rooms. Our view didn’t disappoint and at the end of the corridor saw panoramic views over the Thames with Big Ben, the London Eye, The Gherkin and The Shard!

The room was lovely and as I said had a great view over the city, we could even see Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park in the distance. The rooms were fully equipped with all the essentials such as air-con, tea-making services, a hairdryer and more. Sky TV was available with movies and sports channels, complimentary Wi-Fi (hurrah!), a Bose sound system installed the play tunes from your devices and a selection of magazines all in the rooms. The bathroom was incredible with a fabulous power shower and The White Company smellies! The bed was seriously comfy too and I had one of the best nights sleep but that might have something to do with trekking across London and exploring Winter Wonderland.

We didn’t really get time to explore the hotel to its full potential which is a shame as they have their own restaurant, lounge and bar. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the lobby smelt so festive! Overall, I had literally no problems with the hotel, it was a fantastic stay and would definitely visit again. The location was brilliant for us and not too expensive for a 4* deluxe hotel.

This hotel looks gorgeous. I've actually never stayed in a hotel in London, it's something I'd definitely like to do though 🙂

I've never stayed in this hotel. It was nice that you had views of London from your room. Also the location is perfect for Central London!
