Festive Gift Guide: For Him 2020

It’s that time of the year, it’s time for the Festive Gift Guides. For the last month or so, I’ve been working hard on these to find some great presents for your loved ones. I’ll be covering presents for her, him, beauty lovers, little ones and some tasty treats. I’ll also be doing a post highlighting some of the best small businesses which I have come across online. It’s now more important than ever to support smaller businesses who have been affected by the pandemic. I wanted to cover all areas so be warned, these will all be very long posts but hopefully; helpful posts! Today’s Festive Gift Guide is for the men in your life so whether you are looking for your other half, dads, uncles or brothers, there’s something for everyone.

Starting with the Gadgets in this Festive Gift Guide as I know they always go down well, especially with those who love a good piece of tech. First up is the Google Nest Mini, which is a hands-free speaker. You can connect this to your Google Home App or Chromecast and can run music, TV and movies through it. Additionally, you can use it to control your smart home and command it turn off the lights! At the moment, there are quite a few deals where you can get it for under £20!

Another one of those who loves a gadget, they’ll love the Colgate Smart Electric Toothbrush E1. This toothbrush can connect with your phone via Bluetooth, and through an app, it gives you all the stats each time you brush your teeth. I’ve been using it for the last couple of weeks and using the guide on the app. You can make sure you’re actually brushing everywhere. I’ve been impressed with it so far! I think it would be a great gift for those who love a good gadget. The E1 Toothbrush is available exclusively from the Apple Store.

You can never go wrong with underwear and slippers. Every Christmas, I always pick up some Calvin Klein Boxers for my other half. I’ve found that the cheapest place to find them is TK:Maxx as they do the three-pack for £24.99. That’s usually cheaper than the CK Outlet or any other deals I’ve found. If you can’t pick any up in TK:Maxx, you can usually find different places online with some good deals.

Slippers are a great gift no matter who you are buying for this Christmas. I love a new pair of slippers, especially if they are fur-lined. Tog24 is usually my go-to for when it comes to outdoor clothing but they actually have a wide range of gorgeous loungewear, including slippers! The ones above are the Todwick Knitted slippers and they are so cosy with a soft Borg inner fleece, and they actually have a memory foam insole too!

Pair your slippers with some comfy socks. Bamigo is a range which focuses on underwear and socks. You can pick up a set of their socks, which are primarily made from bamboo, with a range of colours – it’s a perfect give for the men in your life. I think they look quite smart, so they would be great for wearing to work or just everyday use. The socks have also got a reinforced heel and toes, so you know they are going to be great quality.

Smelly stuff always goes down a treat at Christmas. I’ve got a few options in this Gift Guide, starting with the Ted Baker Au (Gold) Fragrance for Men. The bottle for starters, is super sleek and has notes of bergamot, jasmine, vanilla and clove. This scent is part of a trio of scents which are Gold, Silver and Copper – They can be bought separately or in a trio of 12.5ml bottles.

It seems that there have been so many books released in the lead-up to Christmas. Mainly because during lockdown, everyone seemed to have been penning novels and autobiographies. To be honest, in terms of books, you are spoilt for choice. I’ve picked up the Elton John Autobiography but there are so many which have been newly released from Barak Obama, David Jason, Tim Peake, Captain Tom Moore and many many more!

No Christmas is complete without a Lynx Giftset. I don’t know about you but it’s always an ideal present for my Dad, Brothers and other half. You’ll be able to find their giftsets in stores such as Boots, Superdrug, Wilkos, Amazon & Feel Unique. The one featured above is the 25 years of Lynx Africa gift set which I can’t believe this scent has been around for that long. It’s nearly as old as me! This set includes a wash bag filled with deodorant, body spray and shower gel all with the favourite Africa scent.

Abercrombie & Fitch have also released some new fragrances just in time for Christmas. They’ve got First Instinct Together for both Men & Women which you can pick up from the Fragrance Direct website. I’ve tried both of them and they do smell really lovely. The one for Men actually has notes of Pineapple leaves, Grapefruit, Sandalwood and Musk. Abercrombie & Fitch have a whole host of different scents released but this one is a follow-up from their First Instinct collection.

I love the scratch-off posters and think they are a great idea for a gift. Prezzybox has a range of scratch-off posters from 100 Gins to try, 100 Movies to watch or 100 beers to try. There are a few gin lovers in my family and it’s a great gift to see how many they have tried. It also gives them a few suggestions of ones to try in the future. The poster scratches off the ones you’ve tried and also tells you where the spirit was distilled. I think it’s a great idea, I actually have a 100 bucket list places to visit, and it’s so satisfying to scratch them off!

Who doesn’t love receiving chocolate for Christmas? Tucking into delicious goodies is my favourite Christmas pastime. You can’t go far wrong with the Lindt Lindor Gift boxes, they are always a favourite in my household and whilst I prefer the traditional milk truffles, they have plenty of other flavours from Mint, Orange, Strawberries and cream & salted caramel. I know for a fact, these wouldn’t last long in our house and would be a great gift for my Dad. They are currently on a multi-buy offer on the Lindt website; the more boxes you buy, the more you save.

Another tasty treat is from Whittard. They have an impressive selection of Christmas goodies, and I love the sound of their Christmas Pudding All-Butter Biscuits. All of their Christmas collection comes in a very festive tin. The biscuits have a hint of citrus and warm winter spice – what’s not to love?!

Finally, I’ve got one last gift idea in this Festive Gift Guide which would be ideal for the man in your life who loves a good gadget and also is a bit of a chef in the kitchen. This rotating waffle maker from VonHaus certainly would keep someone occupied and spice up breakfast time. Not only will you be gifting whoever a great gadget, but they’ll be sure to be serving up some delicious dishes in the future.
